Great sales approach with no pressure My Wife and I recently purchased a 2014 Certified Pre-Owned Subaru Outback from Waikem Subaru. We had a wonderful experience dealing with the personn My Wife and I recently purchased a 2014 Certified Pre-Owned Subaru Outback from Waikem Subaru. We had a wonderful experience dealing with the personnel at Waikem Subaru, particularly with Chris Byron (Sales) and Adrian Waikem (Finance). Chris patiently explained the characteristics of the Subaru Forester we test drove and selected a great series of roads that allowed us to easily evaluate the car's performance on different surfaces and at varying speeds. When my wife asked about the Outback, Chris brought one up and we test drove that one as well over the same course. We were not ready to make a decision that day and Chris never once tried to hurry us or pressure us into a decision. When we called 2 days later to inquire about test driving a Honda CR-V as well, Chris arranged for us to test drive both the CR-V and the Outback we had already driven. We were not ready to make a decision that day either, yet Chris once again made no move to pressure us in any way. We did start a discussion regarding the sales price of the Outback that day and Chris was calm, friendly and professional in his approach. When we decided to make an offer 2 days later, the negotiations were handled in a very friendly and professional manner. Chris and Waikem were reasonable during this process and we reached a mutually agreeable price. Chris reviewed the car's condition with the Waikem Subaru Service Manager and even helped wash the car prior to us taking possession. Chris also told us that some optional body work to touch up some minor scratches could be done immediately or in the future (at the same cost) and did not pressure us to do anything immediately. Adrian took over the process at that point and handled the financial aspects of the sale, carefully explaining our options regarding an additional extended warranty, title issues, etc. She did not try to push us into purchasing additional products or services that she thought would not be of significant value to us, but carefully explained them so that we understood our options. Both Chris and Adrian have been in contact with us after the sale to confirm that all is well and that we were satisfied with our purchase. The friendly, professional attitudes exhibited by both Chris and Adrian, coupled with the total lack of sales pressure, particularly the absence of pressure to purchase unnecessary options and/or services, was an extremely refreshing change from the pressure tactics my wife and I anticipated when we initiated the search for a new vehicle. Our experience with Chris, Adrian and Waikem Subaru in general, coupled with the great car we got at a fair price, will definitely encourage us to look at this organization again when we need a new car in the future.
