I recently took my truck in for recall work at Diehl Ram in Butler, and while it was there I received less than acceptable service. With how much vehicles cost and what it takes to repair a vehicle the las in Butler, and while it was there I received less than acceptable service. With how much vehicles cost and what it takes to repair a vehicle the last thing that should be on a customer’s mind is the quality of service, the vehicle being damaged, or even being lost while in the care of a dealership. What follows will be a summary of my negative experience. I originally took my truck in for warranty work and while in the service department they lost my keys all 3 times when I went to pick it up, as well as not being able to locate my truck one of the 3 times. The second time I went to pick up my truck should have been the last time except they had damaged the interior. When I brought it to their attention, they weren’t sure it could be fixed but would have it looked at prompting the third visit. I then dropped it off and made sure to notate not to work on it till I was advised, but once again they dropped the ball and repaired my vehicle without my consent. The repair is not the type of workmanship I would expect from a dealer. It gets sticky and doesn’t match the rest of the interior because only half was painted. I calmly asked for them to replace the part to which I got the response “we don’t even know if it happened here” and will not be replacing it. The customer service at this dealership is subpar at best. No one calls you back unless they want your money. So, after exhausting all avenues I feel the need to make others aware. If you decide to take your vehicle to this dealership document the condition of your vehicle inside and out as they will try to use any excuse to remove themselves from fault. I even have paperwork from them stating they damaged it at last service and still they deny the damage happened there. I would like to tell you to stay away from Diehl Ram in its entirety, but ultimately it is your choice, so just remember what you have read from my experience. More
Took my 2020 Jeep Wrangler there for a corrosion issue on the hinges. I took it in on May 2022 and they said they would reach out and nothing. Call repeatedly over the course of 10 months and kept getting the runaround. Finally after 10 months I was told they lost the pictures and never submitted them! I was told I would need to come back and get pictures of the corrosion again. I went back to get pictures again and waited an hour for someone to take the pictures and was told somebody would reach out. Here we are again and nothing from anybody about a month later. Very frustrating and very poor business model! Save your time and go somewhere else. More

Said they had to check batteries and would have to fully charge them before they could check to see if it was alternator. (Why can advance check with out charging batteries) said it was going to take about 4 hours to charge batteries. In mean time they had no rental cars available. After an hour I said just give me 2 batteries I need to get on road since they are not covered by warranty, but if I buy 2 new batteries they are covered for 2 years, even though the batteries in my 2018 are not 2 years old. They charged me 400 for batteries and 125 to install. (Advance auto installs free)Then said it was alternator, which is covered under warranty. They couldn't take back the batteries because they hooked them up to my car. (Supposedly) While I sat there for 6-1/2 hrs I was never offered coffee, or anything else. I would never recommend this place to anyone!! More

We got the car back on a Thursday and by Sunday we lost brakes and went through a red light on RT 8. We had the car towed back to deihl and they said it would be another $1000 to fix it.. They said they could knock a little bit off and it would be a little over $900. They said it wasn't the brakes, that it was the brake booster.. that the brake booster had oil in it . Now I spoke to multiple mechanics elsewhere who said that oil in the brake booster is impossible.. so I wanted an explanation as to why when they replaced my brakes we lost our brakes and how oil could possibly get in the brake booster.. I spoke to Rich Grossman and all he could tell me was it was the brake booster.. Then he said that they could do 25% off and that would end up being a little over $1000, so more than what we were originally quoted over the phone. When I seemed to get upset for not getting answers he shrugged and smiled at me like oh well.. i had my mechanic go up and talk to one of the mechanics at deihl. He was very nice and explained and showed him exactly what the problem was. Apparently the brake booster in this jeep is placed in a strange spot making it possible to get oil in and lose brakes. Its impossible in most other cars but not in Jeeps.. The manager could not and would not explain or have anyone explain this. So he let me sit there upset and feeling like I was being ripped off. We spoke to Jeep corporation and they are paying for half the cost so we are stuck. I know most of the employees at deihl and they are some of the nicest people I've ever met. Its a shame the manager Rich Grossman is the manager of this place. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone for anything strictly because of the poor management. As the manager he should have taken the initiative to explain or have this explained considering I am a paying customer and this issue is a rare issue(per the deihl mechanic).. Instead he sat there shrugging and smiling like a big 'I don't know but what are you gonna do about it.' Great employees but very poor management.. I will never spend money at deihl again and will not recomend it to anyone. More

No one cared that I was unsatisfied. I was also told they wouldn't do the required work needed for my cars recall on a Saturday because they only do small services on Saturday yet multiple customers were having more extensive work done today which is Saturday. First experience was motor replacement on one that took a month to replace a crate motor. Second is currently on going a internal transmission problem. The truck was towed to the Robinson location. After waiting for several weeks to get an appointment it has now been another three weeks and still have not had an update on to when the transmission will be replaced in the truck. This is the absolute worst service experience I have ever had. Note we have owned over forty trucks thru the years and have had them serviced at other Chrysler, Dodge dealerships without issue. We will never purchase another vehicle from this company. We are very sad to say the service department is lacking. On a brighter note the sales department was very good and time saving. More
Uniformly bad service. We have purchased multiple cars and trucks from this dealership dating back to when it was owned by the Trostle family. Since Diehl took over, the dea We have purchased multiple cars and trucks from this dealership dating back to when it was owned by the Trostle family. Since Diehl took over, the dealership has grown, and with the size, service has suffered. We had engine problems with a new Scion that we purchased there in 2007. Excessive oil use from day one. We poured oil into that car for 8 years while Diehl told us that a quart of oil every 500 miles was "within normal service limits". In 2015 we decided to give them another chance, and purchased a new Jeep Wrangler at the dealership. First the salesman didn't submit our order, he had to be reminded after two weeks had passed. Then we received a call in June that our new Jeep was in. We went to the dealership and completed all of the paperwork. As we sat in the office, a kid came in and said "I can't find the Jeep". What? Turns out it was in Toledo at the plant, hadn't been shipped yet. Diehl did give us use of a loaner till our Jeep was actually found and delivered. Since then, I've avoided them like the plague. Today I took my Dodge Ram truck in for a factory recall. The work was completed and I was called to pick it up. I arrived at the dealership to learn that they couldn't find my keys. No matter, my truck was blocked by a small white car and they couldn't find those keys either. They had screwed up the driver's side seatbelt retractor and my truck was covered in salt, I'm guessing from a road test. They claim to wash your car when it was in for service, and my truck had been dropped off clean. I'm done with this place, the size of the operation is clearly beyond the ability of the employees to handle it. The owner does TV spots telling the audience that "our people keep you coming back". Huh? While I'm sure there are plenty of good people working there, the place is a disorganized mess. More
Misquoted repeatedly about price on phone I have used diehl for service and purchase my vehicle for years. I will not use them again. My last service that they completed for me, I spoke w I have used diehl for service and purchase my vehicle for years. I will not use them again. My last service that they completed for me, I spoke with the service manager on the phone who gave me a price and told me the price would most likely go down as he may have double ordered a part. i dropped my vehicle off for service and went to work, later that day a phone rep called and told me I needed more work (upsell) done to my vehicle in order for it to pass inspection. I asked her what it would cost to complete, and then I confirmed price on the phone. She repeated the price back to me on phone. I repeated the price again on the phone, and told her that's ok, do it. When I picked up my vehicle the total price was $765 higher than I was quoted on the phone. I later met with the original service manager to discuss, and he reviewed all pricing with me. And he told me that there was no reason that they would have quoted me a lower price on the phone. I told the manager again, that if they would have originally told me the higher price on the phone, That I would not have done the service at their shop, and he reviewed the paper work again. To find that there were errors and they double charged me for work, but it did not add up to the $765 error. He later told me that I heard the lady on phone wrong, and I heard her wrong again when she repeated it to me, and when I repeated it back to her, that she heard me wrong. Do not use deign for service they will lie to you, Double charge you for service, and not correct their mistakes. More
Beyond horrible! Quoted 7 to 10k for a engine on a 3500 ram. Wouldnt guarantee their work. No warranty at all. We were on a 3 way call and they forgot we were there Quoted 7 to 10k for a engine on a 3500 ram. Wouldnt guarantee their work. No warranty at all. We were on a 3 way call and they forgot we were there and they spoke poorly about us. Super unprofessional. Took my credit card info to make a key, knowing we were having it towed out of there to somewhere else. Promised us that it would be ready. Then when we go to pick it up, they tell us oh by the way we cant make the key because the car wont start. That would have been fine if i would have been speaking to the receptionist. But i spoke to the man supposed to fix my car. Kinda scary that he didnt know that on the phone and tell me BEFORE he took my credit card. Thank goodness we took the car elsewhere. If they cant figure out how to program a key they have no business putting in an engine.....probably why they wont guarantee their work More
This place is a joke! Idk why they decided to just start taking my car apart when all I wanted was to get a key fob programmed which they couldn't even do that! This place is a rip off!! My buddy had the same problem with them with his key fob so he went somewhere else and they fixed everything for him for way less money, more than half less! Oh and yes he took it to another dealership, they told him diehl screwed up his fob and he had to buy another one a used one which diehl said he couldn't reprogram a used one.. Just be careful with dealerships like this if your a girl take a guy who knows thing about cars they love to rip off girls!! More
