Well before it was due, I took my recently purchased truck into my local dealership to get the "the works" done just to be safe. I was informed that my front brakes are nearly metal to metal L1-1/R1-0. truck into my local dealership to get the "the works" done just to be safe. I was informed that my front brakes are nearly metal to metal L1-1/R1-0. My rear brakes were 6mm. I asked how this was possible as I purchased the truck three months ago and have driven 3,000 (mostly Highway 20) miles. I was informed that it shouldn't be possible short of me racing which sadly I am not. I asked for the inspection report from Canby, which showed 5mm on both the front and back brakes. I asked if this could be a mistake and if Canby Ford was will to do anything about the situation. The answer was: Short of talking to the service department so I could be reassured that this is my problem, nothing would be done. Based on what I have been told, selling a used car with brakes under 3mm is a crime. This was sold as a Certified Pre-Owned Ford which according to the local dealership means brakes must be at 4mm. It is my opinion that this has occurred. Had I not decided to take the truck in for service early, there is a reasonable chance my front brakes may have failed to perform adequately while driving my early morning commute, often in the elements, from Corvallis to Newport. I have filed a formal complaint with Ford itself. More

I had a lot of questions to make sure I was making the perfect choice for my family and me. He was incredibly respectful to me and my needs and wants. He knew the correct answers to all of my questions. While making my purchase, he made sure I got the price I wanted to pay and threw in a couple little extras that he knew my family wanted. I find it very worth while to drive down to Canby from Portland for the couteous people and for their knowledge of service requirements. It seem like I say this after each new car I purchase that It is the best built I have ever owned. I feel that way about the 2010 FOCUS that I purchased 1 year ago this Month. I am really impressed with the hiway and town mileage that I am getting. 40 Highway and 29-30 in the city. I especially enjoy Sync the ability to put 14 CD's on a 1 gigabyte thumb drive and enjoy thme while driving works Great. Not to mention the hands free blue tooth telephone.
