An Amazing Car Buying Experience I had an amazing experience with VW of Portland. Doug Clark, my sales guy was professional, funny, nice. I learned a long time ago that if you I had an amazing experience with VW of Portland. Doug Clark, my sales guy was professional, funny, nice. I learned a long time ago that if you don't tell someone exactly what you want, you won't get it, and if you aren't going to get what you want, then be willing to walk away. I had applied for a loan for a car, changed my mind to an SUV, and sent them a link of exactly the car I wanted that was on their lot, and Mazda CX-5. They came back with a good payment, great interest rate, and they had most of the paper work done when I got there. My car was there, I test drove it, said I wanted it , signed some papers, and Doug congratulated me. We added it to my insurance, I got the DMV and contract filled out, and drove away with my new car. It did take a couple of hours, no doubt, but if you give them your exact parameters before you get there, you will get the car you want. This is my first time actually buying a car at a dealership, and it was awesome, and not scary at all. I loved Doug and Jay at VW of Portland. Thank you guys for a great car buying experience. More

Good Buying Experience I bought a new 2015 Golf STI with Doug Clark's help. I couldn't be more pleased with Doug or Hannah VW. Doug responded my Internet inquiry in minutes I bought a new 2015 Golf STI with Doug Clark's help. I couldn't be more pleased with Doug or Hannah VW. Doug responded my Internet inquiry in minutes (via phone) and kept in touch via text messages until I came in for a test drive appointment the following day. He was personable, professional, and knowledgeable, and my test drive closed the deal. The buying process was easy and kind of fun since the Sales Manager I worked with (sorry, forgot his name) was also personable and flexible. We renegotiated my trade-in and purchase price + options 3 times, and I felt like I got a good deal on both. Best of all, in the 4 days since I bought my car Doug has left a 'thank you / how do you like your new car?' voice mail and email, and proactively worked with me to get my car in for add-on accessories service. How many salespeople stay proactive after a deal closes these days? Not many! So his persistence is a sign he wants to keep my business after the sale, which I appreciate. Happy with everything so far and I will definitely recommend Doug and Hannah VW to friends and family here in Portland. More
