Where do I begin?...I shopped around for several Subaru-type vehicles, and even test drove Subarus at 2 dealerships. BY FAR, Dick Hannah Subaru and SCOTTY EASTHAM IN PARTICULAR convinced me to buy Subaru-type vehicles, and even test drove Subarus at 2 dealerships. BY FAR, Dick Hannah Subaru and SCOTTY EASTHAM IN PARTICULAR convinced me to buy my Outback sport. He was very informative, patient (through 2 test drives) and put absolutely NO pressure on me to buy! Another non-Subaru dealership nearby was sloppy and full of pushy dealers who thought they knew better than I, what was the best vehicle for me. I should never have wasted my time anywhere else. The salesperson (Shawn)is a true Subaru enthusiast. He took the time to find out what we really needed and did his honest best to make the purchase process go as easily as possible. However, the management is entirely a different matter. They misrepresented the price of the car (and removed the sticker price in the window during the negotiation) then when we turned in our clunker they never have returned the scrap value of the car. When called about this they said they would get back to us- two months ago. Overall we got a 'fair' deal from Dick Hanna Subaru- but that was only by walking out on the deal twice- then having the price knocked down $3000 (by their calculations) so what seemed like a great deal turned out to be exactly MSRP. I started looking for a new car in July 2009. I went to the Vancouver auto mall because it was the closest to my house. I went to a couple other dealerships first and then over to Dick Hannah Subaru. I was promptly greeted by a salesman Shawn Leafdahl. I now know him as "Subaru Shawn". He is so energetic and excited about Subarus that it rubbed off on me. I drove a couple of different Subaru models. He could tell by just my mannerisms what car I was most comfortable driving. He asked relevant questions like; what will you be using this car for? What do you want from your new car? I never felt pressured to buy right away instead he was trying to help me to figure out what would be the perfect car for me. It took me three months of asking questions, more test drives, more questions, and finally deciding to purchase. I made an offer on the internet and Shawn was able to make it happen for me. I got my dream car at a fantastic price. I love my new Subaru Impreza Outback Sport. And I look forward to working with Subaru Shawn and Dick Hannah Subaru again when its my husbands turn for a new or used car. More
