First of all, everyone we dealt with was very friendly. I was a little concerned because we brought our 18 month old boy with us and he is somewhat high energy, but all of the staff were very accomodating. He was honest about the strengths and weaknesses of the cars and the financing options. Throughout the process, we felt no pressure. I went looking for a new Subaru that was reasonable and affordable as well as having all the features that I wanted in my new car. Unique circumstances made this a very unconventional and unusual purchase. Let me start out with the bad first. In the early initial negotiations, Ian and I were working with a gentleman for which early on I can't explain it other than a gut feel that he was trying to screw me so upfront we had a trust issue with a certain sales associate for which I have no problem naming - David Swanson. Giving him the benefit of the doubt this gentleman was everything you would not want in a team player he was forceful, rude, condescending and generally not a very nice individual to work with. I was ready to walk after listening to him for five minutes, and just about did! Fortunately Hannah has an exceptional management service and sales team. Ian Killough interceded and was exceptional in his patience and etiquette. I was at your Vancouver Auto Mall Subaru dealership from 11 until 6 Friday April 1 and Once Ian took control of the discussions he introduced me to his Sales Manager and we got down to business. I cannot say enough good things about either gentlemen, the advice and suggestions made throughout the transaction were truly helpful and at the end of the day I genuinely trust this dealership service and sales and will continue to be a regular service customer who passes on by word of mouth in my office that if folks are looking for vehicles or service get in touch with Ian,Kamal,Tom,Rick,Tonya and Nacho they all have earned my trust and deserve high praise and recognition for their customer can-do attitudes. We drove four hours due to this great service. When we arrived to make the trade, the car we purchased had been delivered from several hours away and was just what we expected. The salesman was easy to work with, patient with us and answered all our questions. When we are ready to purchase a new car we will make the four hour drive again because we know we'll be treated well, provided great service and quality cars. I originally found out about Dick Hannah Subaru through the website. The website was easy to navigate and very informative. I found several used and new Subaru automobiles that I was interested in. When I arrived at the dealership, I was greeted by Tuan Bui. He accompanied my friend and I on three different test drives. I was able to really get a feel for the automobile through this experience, really confirming my vehicle choice. I choose a 2010 Subaru Impreza. I have had it now for almost two weeks and I am very happy with my choice. I also was really excited about the warranties that they offer of their automobiles. I was very impressed with this and found it completely necessary when buying a used car. They also accommodate their customers with special offers that guarantee continuous visits to the dealership. I have had multiple telephone calls confirming my happiness with their product. I would recommend this dealership to anyone looking to buy a car. The salesmen are friendly and the financial advisors are accommodating. Specifically, I would recommend the salesman Tuan Bui. I felt comfortable with the information that I received from Tuan Bui. Absolutely the epitomy of a sleezy used car dealership. First the sales creeps know nothing about the product they are trying to sell. They just make up lies when they don't know the answer to your questions. For example, why are you charging $350 for registration when the car is already currently registered through 2012? His answer was because that is what DMV charges them. After a call to the DMV I was told the title transfer is all you need, which is $87. Then I came to them pre-approved from my bank, but they wanted to redo my financing through their banks. When I said no, they told me they have to because of homeland security. What!? Then after that battle they tell me the price on the car is wrong and they want an extra $1000! Once I pulled the bait and switch card, they quickly went back to their old price. These guys are the sleeziest of sleeze and I would never do business with them. The only way I can even comprehend anyone giving these guys a good rating is that they don't know any better. Go out and test drive some cars from private parties or independent dealers. You will certainly never buy a car from a cut-rate establishment like Dick Hannah again. More
I decided to check out what "Internet Sales" was, after going on line to find out about the Subaru Forester. I contacted Dick Hannah Subaru because they were the dealership that had the best deal for what I was looking for. I had been looking at other makes of a smaller SUV, and decided that the Subaru Forester was met the criteria I had and Dick Hannah had the right price. My experience with dealing with Dick Hannah Subaru was a great experience. They were able to answer my questions and was able to deal directly with the manager, as well as, another employee who was very thorough in completing the sale and taking us through the information in the Owner's Manual. When signing the final papers, we were treated respectfully. All the people that we came in contact were great! It was probably the least stressful sale of a car that I have experienced. I have also dealt with Dick Hannah Toyota (Longview) and have to say that the experience I had there in buying a used travel trailer was great, too. We experienced some troubles with the trailer within a few days of purchase, and they were "stood behind" the sale and fixed the problem. Way to Go, Dick Hannah! More
