We've been bringing our 2019 Honda Odyssey Elite to Diamond Valley Honda in Hemet for service - but after this latest experience, we won't be re !! We've been bringing our 2019 Honda Odyssey Elite to Diamond Valley Honda in Hemet for service - but after this latest experience, we won't be returning. Recently, the engine started misfiring at just 80,000 miles. I looked into it myself and found a Honda TSB regarding faulty fuel injectors - a known issue. We brought the van to DVH expecting a professional repair. Instead, we got the runaround. First, they told my wife that the fuel injectors had been replaced, but the misfire continued. Then they claimed it was due to tight valves and worn spark plugs, quoting $1,400 for a valve adjustment and plug replacement. That seemed off, so I contacted a well-rated mobile mechanic for a second opinion. His response? "Get your car outta there." He said a valve adjustment at 80k miles is highly unlikely and offered to do it for nearly half the price - if it even needed it. Then it got weirder. When my wife called to tell them a tow truck was on the way, the person she spoke to suddenly said he wasn't sure if the injector work had even been done. He changed the story again - saying it was actually the coils and spark plugs causing the misfire, and those parts came with the injector kit, which would be covered by our extended warranty. Finally, when they got back on the phone, the story changed AGAIN: now they were claiming a spark plug was "stuck to the coil," and that's what was causing the misfire. We've now been told four different causes, with conflicting information at every step. Even the mobile mechanic, who has stellar reviews and years of experience, was speechless - he said it sounded like they were just feeding us one big lie. This was not just frustrating - it was unacceptable. Between the wildly inconsistent diagnoses, poor communication, and suspicious pricing, we've completely lost trust in Diamon Valley Honda's service department. Take your vehicle somewhere else.
