DO NOT GO INTO THIS DEARLERSHIP...when I pointed out to the salesman that he didn't reduce the extra $1000.00 I was adding to my down-payment from the sales price he was too afraid to go back into the sale the salesman that he didn't reduce the extra $1000.00 I was adding to my down-payment from the sales price he was too afraid to go back into the sales manager's office & rectify the discrepancy. The finance guy gave me NO choice of warranties, he just shoved one in my face and pointed where to sign. I had no idea there were even other choices available until I spoke with a warranty company that works with Rally Auto Group. She was stunned to hear that I wasn't presented with other options. The price I paid was about $800 over high kelly blue book, but the cost of the warranty added almost $2500 to the price of the car. Imagine how sickened I was when I found out that KBB isn't the guide car dealers use. They use the black book. Bottom-line, I ended up over-paying by thousands of dollars & purchased a car that consumer reports calls one of the worst of the worst. The dealership provided me with a purposefully condensed car fax that obscured 9 occurances pertaining to the vehicle. I had one paper after another shoved in my face for signature with little of no explanation about what I was signing. These guys knew they were ripping me off and selling me a bad product, but somehow seem to be able to sleep at night. They need to remove the words "INTEGRITY" and "MORAL" from their company motto. All of the "men" I dealt with were gutless, greedy & arrogant. The worst car purchase experience of my life. Rally is HORRIFIC! Read reviews before you shop! More
The dealership is dishonest by agreeing to a sales price and interest rate than quoting a false 60 month payment $25 higher than the true payment. The person in the finance department than attempted to sel and interest rate than quoting a false 60 month payment $25 higher than the true payment. The person in the finance department than attempted to sell a $1995 warranty for $8 more per month. The true cost of the warranty would have rave raised the payment by $32. In the automobile business this is called packing the payment for the finance department to roll the $25 dollars into after market products, like warranty or gap insurance etc. When unable to sell any products the finance department rolled the $25 dollars into the interest rate raising it 3 ½ percentage higher than the agreed interest rate quoted. The illegality is the finance department fails to disclose the federal Truth in lending disclosures by manipulating the fact you have three or more hours invested at the dealership, having you sign all the numerous required documents first with the least required attention last so you are just signing paper after paper. The finance person places the contract in front of you making the top portion of the contract that displays the changed interest rate difficult to see and points out the payment section which is easier to read than the Truth in lending box above the payment area. Seeing the payments and months are correct, you are ask quickly to sign in required area’s. The contract is quickly withdrawn and folded in with the stack of papers you are anxious to leave with. Once you sign and leave the dealership there is nothing you can do, unless you have an option contract. This was part of my agreement but not filed in on the contract. The industry standard is seven days to acquire your own financing, Rally Chevrolet offered three days. If you do not bring in the money in three days they can cash the contract with there lender at an estimated 5% interest rate lower than the percentage on contract which is profit added to the sale. On average this is about $1,500. More
