I purchased a 2005 Crystler 300c... When I was first contacted about the car, customer service was very good. George convinced me that this was a very good car at a good price. Once they got the $1,000. contacted about the car, customer service was very good. George convinced me that this was a very good car at a good price. Once they got the $1,000.00 deposit from me every thing went down hill. The first three weeks the car drove fine but then the check engine light came on. The transmission then started a whinning noise. I contacted Diamond auto and they said that the owner was out of town but will pick up the car by sending a tow truck. A whole week went by and no one called or showed to pick up the car. I had to pay a tow truck driver to take the car to the dealership. During this time I kept trying to get in contact with diamond auto but their phones was off. The day I dropped off the car a sales person from Diamond auto was there and said that as soon as the owner gets back he will let him know about the problems with the car. Two weeks went by and I heard nothing from this dealership. The owner finally TEXT me and said that the car was ready. I drove from Hyattsville Md to Pasadena md to get the car, NO ONE WAS THERE. I called and called before I left and the owner never picked up. Halfway home the owner TEXTED me again saying to give him another week to fix the problems on the car. At this time the car title or tags still hasn't been registered at MVA, so even if it was ready I could not drive it anywhere b ecause the forty five day temporary tags had expired. Its been three months that I have had this car and havent been able to use it. Today is Tuesday November 13, 2012 and the owner claimed my tags would be ready and they are not. THIS DEALERSHIP IS A RIP OFF DONT USE THEM. THEY WILL TELL YOU ANYTHING JUST TO GET YOUR MONEY. More
BUYER BEWARE: MVA and Better Business Bureau investigation plus civil and criminal lawsuit pending. Dealer failed to submit the paperwork for tags and title within 30 days after sale. Today we investigation plus civil and criminal lawsuit pending. Dealer failed to submit the paperwork for tags and title within 30 days after sale. Today we were forced to involve Police and MVA investigators to get the tags and registration. The dealer will be fined for failing to submit the paperwork on time. This dealer is most unethical and dishonest dealer we have come across. Customer service is horrible and they lie for little things. In addition, they are selling unsafe cars and the Menieke safety inspection certificate that they use appears to be fake because many safety related issues are present at the time of test drive. MVA is contacted about this serious issue and it will be investigated (other review mentioned similar issue with Menieke safety inspection). Our car was sold with 1) no dash ligght - a safety issue and should have been notified in the inspection report, 2) stuck driver side window, and 3) rear door clsoing issues. Dealer promised to fix these and several other defects in writing on bill of sale but failed to resolve this issue till today (2 months after sale) despite several trips to the dealership. Also, the car was advertised with working AC but it stopped working soon after the car left the lot. The faulty compressor they installed before the sale of the vehicle drained the battery and costed ~$75 for a refurbished battery. BE CARAFUL DEALING WITH THESE FOLKS. AVOID AVOID AVOID. More
I purchased a used 2002 Subaru Outback from Diamond Auto on February 11, 2012 for $6,289.00. I initially contacted Diamond Auto on February 2, 2012 about the car, which I put down $1,000.00 security deposit on February 11, 2012 for $6,289.00. I initially contacted Diamond Auto on February 2, 2012 about the car, which I put down $1,000.00 security deposit to hold the car while they supposedly made repairs. I test drove the car & advised Milton of the repair items I immediatedly noted that needed to be fixed. Diamond Auto (Milton) informed me on February 11, 2012 that they had made the repairs and the car was available for pick up. I picked the car up on February 11, 2012, and stroked a final check to Milton for the balance due of $5,289.00. Milton stated if I noted any additional problems with the car to bring it back. While driving the car home, and a few short days later, I took the car back with a list of problems with the car. Oil leaks; alignment; check engine light; C02 sensors; & rotors squealing. I explained to the owner that I could not keep running back and forth from Owings Mills, MD to Pasadena, MD about the car. The owner assured me that he would resolve all the vehicle defects and have the car delivered. A month later, the owner contacted me stating that all the repairs had been done and to get my address again. I gave the owner my address and he said he would deliver the car by a certain day. That day came, and I had not heard from the owner or anyone from Diamond Auto. A few days later, Milton left me a voice message stating they didn't have a driver, etc. The owner contacted me a few days later, confirming the address again and to advise me that the drivers were on their way with the car. Also, he had assured me that he drove the car home, etc., and that everything was okay. A day after they dropped the car off, the check engine line came on again. I took the car to the Subaru dealer to learn that the CO2 sensors were not the problem, but the Catalyic Converters were bad. Also, the source of the continued oil leaks were a bad gasket near the converters, and the timing chamber. They also revealed other defects that needed to be addressed. They quoted me a repair cost of $3,200.00 total. I could not afford that. I took the vehicle to Meineke. Meineke confirmed the converter issue, but also said that the left CV Axle was bad too. They would also have to degrease the engine to pinpoint the exact location and source of the leakage. The total replacement of all the defective parts and related services totalled $1,398.00. Meineke also revealed that someone temporarily tried to mask a safety issue with the coils with Permafix, versus replacing the bad parts. I contacted Diamond Auto today to advise them that they failed to make all the promised repairs and deliver a defect free vehicle. You don't sale the car first, then make necessary repairs, etc. after the fact. They knew this car was in bad shape, but sold an unsafe vehicle anyway. They continue to take the position by telling me to keep bringing the vehicle back, etc. My position is they should have fixed the car properly before they sold it, not after the fact, and I should not have to continue to waste my time, energy, eforts, or risk me and my families lives by driving an unsafe vehicle. That's a poor business practice, that's misleading an unknowing customer, and they put me and my family's lives at stake by knowingly selling an unsafe vehicle. More
