Computer panel problems We brought the Forester in without an appointment because the computer panel lit up for no apparent reason. Taylor, the service rep, was great. He r We brought the Forester in without an appointment because the computer panel lit up for no apparent reason. Taylor, the service rep, was great. He read the panel, asked if there was anything else we needed, (time set on clock and car wash) and promised to have my car back as soon as possible. My Forester was done later that afternoon, computer problem diagnosed , panel reset, car washed, and the clock reset to daylight time for me. Taylor explained the cause of the problem and how to avoid it in the future. All very helpful Thumbs up! More

Frustrating experience purchasing a used car We bought a used car from Ryan Gill of Subaru of Walnut Creek on March 20, 2017. He was very eager to sell us the car, though it was missing a hub ca We bought a used car from Ryan Gill of Subaru of Walnut Creek on March 20, 2017. He was very eager to sell us the car, though it was missing a hub cab, 2nd key fob, an owner’s manual and the passenger side door wouldn’t open from the inside. The car was still under warranty and the price was right, so we agreed to purchase it. He said that he would install the hub cab for an additional $100, saving us the hassle of ordering one. We agreed. He implied that it would be put on immediately. After paying the $100, he told us that the hub cab was on order and that he would ship it to us directly. Yes, we should have realized he was dishonest at that point and cancelled the sale, but we figured it would still save us time. Well, after several emails and still no hubcap, we finally contacted the service department on April 5th and Aaron Ashley asked us to send a picture of one of the hub cabs so he would know what to order. Crazy that they didn’t know they had sold us a 2015 Prius and that with a quick Google search you could purchase a replacement hubcap, but yeah, whatever. Obviously, they had lied to us about having the part on order. On April 21st, the hub cab had still not arrived and we called yet again. On April 25th, they finally got back to us and said the hub cap was on its way. On April 27th, we received the hub cap, but it was the wrong size for the car we purchased. We informed them that it was the wrong hub cap and there was no response. Now over 30 days had passed since the original order and we could no longer get a refund for the hub cab. Lots of hassle, no hub cab and terrible customer service. Subarus are great cars, we have one, but take the time to shop somewhere else. We got burned, but you don’t have to. More
