Excellent Customer Service and Buying Experience Recently purchased a New 2016 Toyota RAV4 from Desert Toyota. The sales people were very knowledgeable, personable, professional and a pleasure to wo Recently purchased a New 2016 Toyota RAV4 from Desert Toyota. The sales people were very knowledgeable, personable, professional and a pleasure to work with. Our schedule after agreeing to purchase was very hectic. In addition, the vehicle that I had initially looked at (and wanted to purchase) had been sold. The sales rep traveled from Tucson to Phoenix on a Friday evening to obtain the same vehicle from another dealer, have it prepped at his dealership on Saturday and delivered it to our home about 25 miles away late Saturday afternoon. That was REAL customer service. The buying experience was really great. I had said I did not want to be forced to sit through the myriad of special offers some dealers push on new buyers. Desert Toyota respected that request and I was able to purchase the vehicle with no hassle. Of course, there were many papers to sign but it was handled expeditiously and professionally. I have nothing but good things to say about Desert Toyota. More
STEER CLEAR I purchased a used vehicle on 02/24/16. On 02/25/16 the vehicle was delivered to me and I immediately noted that the front bumper was unattached on th I purchased a used vehicle on 02/24/16. On 02/25/16 the vehicle was delivered to me and I immediately noted that the front bumper was unattached on the far right side near the front, passenger tire. I notified the salesman (Gilbert Suarez) via text and he asked, "where you driving pretty fast?" my response, "no." I made tentative arrangements to take my vehicle in 02/26/16 at 1400. On 02/26/16, Will from the service department called me to tell me that my car would be estimated at that time and no repairs would be done at that appointment. i explained, I was unable and unwilling to take time off of work to be sent back and forth. At a quarter to 1700 on 02/26/16, I received a telephone call from Tammy who identified herself as the Service Manager, she asked for me to bring my vehicle in on 02/27/16 for it to be estimated and repaired at NO charge. She reassured me, "If I have to personally drive to Jaguar to pick up the part- I will. Just bring me the car tomorrow before 5pm." On 02/27/16 at 0733, I contacted Royal Jaguar and was notified that the parts & service departments were closed on the weekend and only sales was open on Saturdays. I was advised to call on Monday morning from 0700-1630 to speak to a Royal Jaguar service member. I contacted Tammy at Desert Toyota at 0752, her receptionist took a message. I did not receive a call back from Tammy until 02/27/16 at approximately 1650, "Tammy with Desert Toyota 296-8535." On 02/29/16, I contacted Royal Jaguar and made an appointment for a free estimate at 1630. I arrived at Royal Jaguar at approximately 1600 and was attended by David who had a technician estimate the repair for the missing bracket. I attempted to make telephonic contact with Will or Tammy in service at Desert Toyota but was told by the operator/receptionist they were unavailable. I contacted Gilbert (the salesman) via text message and he promptly responded. We corresponded via text message from 1550 to 1715; in the response at 1641 from Gilbert it was indicated that Desert Toyota would be unable and unwilling to fix my bumper, free of charge, unless "[I] can bring a referral in to show them someone is interested to purchase a vehicle. I already told them [managers] you have your mom coming in bc how I was able to go through the vehicle and get you a great deal. I am even trying to see if we can do 50% off from what Jaguar is going to do. I wish I can be able to do more on my part, however I am listening to my managers." At 1659 Gilbert wrote again indicating, "I'm sorry I kept bugging the managers. If you get it done there we can give you $80 back. I did everything I could for you Monique." Ultimately, Royal Jaguar replaced the missing bracket and attempted to repair the bumper that appeared as though it was rigged to stay put...nearly $160 later for a repair that should have been free. In an effort to make my troubles better Royal Jaguar did give me a 20% discount on parts and labor. More
