Bob, The owner of Derek motorcar is a friend of the family. I purchased a car from his lot in February 2022. At the time I drove the care the service engine light was on Bob assured me this was just family. I purchased a car from his lot in February 2022. At the time I drove the care the service engine light was on Bob assured me this was just because it needed new spark plug. He would have his mechanic service the car and look everything over. The mechanic said this was a great care for the money. I paid Bob for the car. I would pick the car up in 2 weeks. When I drove the car off the lot, before I even got home the service light came on. along with the brake light and a lamp light. I took the car back to Derick motors 3 times. The mechanic keep telling me nothing was wrong with the car and He would reset the service engine indicator. I finally took the car to another mechanic. He gave me an assessment of everything wrong with the car and even gave me part numbers. I took the car back to Bob, left the car for a week for his mechanic to fix Bob drove the car back to my house dropped it off and said. "I cannot be responsible for anything once the car is driven off the lot! I had the car fixed. New light, parts, brakes, needed a new left rear tire. $2000 later, the car is fixed. DO NOT TRUST BOB. IF HE DID THIS TO A FRIEND OF THE FAMILY, HOW WILL HE TREAT YOU. I had to rate a 1 - would not let you enter "0". worst serve . This is not a reputable lot. More
Never got any answers from my inquiry. Just got a “please call”. Wish they would answer questions so I know if I should take my time to call. Just got a “please call”. Wish they would answer questions so I know if I should take my time to call. More
This was the worst experience I have ever had. If there was zero stars I would give zero. This was your classical nightmare oily and shady used car salesman experience. My wife and I entered the dealer was zero stars I would give zero. This was your classical nightmare oily and shady used car salesman experience. My wife and I entered the dealership and left our number for the owner of the car lot to call us about a car we were looking at. He did call a few hours later and sold us a Mercedes. He said if we paid right now today he was going to cut us this excellent deal, so we rush back to the dealership and pay in cash sight on seen the car because we thought we were getting a wonderful deal. He rushed us into the purchase by claiming he had a birthday party to go to, so I am not even sure we got the same car he was telling us about on the phone. We did not see the car before he said we had to purchase to get the deal. There was not even a test drive. It was very pressure tactics, which for the amount of money, as this was NOT a cheap car, this oily salesman should have spent more time treating us as valuable customers. As it turns out, we did NOT get a good deal, as a matter of fact we paid $500 MORE than what the car was listed for on the dealerships website! We rushed into making a deal because we didn't want to miss out, but we got overcharged! After we paid and signed everything, he THEN informs us he does not have the title to the car. At this point we didn't have much of an option but to take his word that he would have the title to us no later than three days as he was going to have the title overnighted. We were upset but figured we would have the title in a few days, no big deal. This has now been 37 days since we bought the car and we STILL DO NOT have the title! He was dishonest about the title, he charged us above his retail price advertised, and he is extremely poor at communicating what is going on with the situation. This was a true nightmare experience we are still living. Never use this dealership as the owner is a true crook. I also have a friend who bought a Delorean a few years ago from the same dealership, assured it was a good running car, and two days after purchasing the car the transmission went out. So by the time this is all done, attorney fees, etc. we have no clue how much time and money will be tied up into the situation. At this point our paper plates are going to expire soon, or at the very least we will be waiting on the BMV if he gets us the title, which is not looking promising. If you value your money, do not use this dealership. You would be better off walking than using Derek Motorcar. More
