While I enjoyed my buying process, further service from Deluxe is questionable. After about a week, the brakes on the car were squeaking and making a weird sensation when applied. Upon inspection at a BMW dealer, it was revealed that the front brakes on the car were aftermarket, which may have been causing the issue. Additionally, a rim was bent. I called Deluxe and they had me bring it in to their service department. They confirmed the brakes were aftermarket but were "BMW certified parts." The rotors were glazed "for some reason," so they were sanded and the wheel was sent out to be fixed. I brought them my car on a Saturday and it is now the end of the day Wednesday, and I have not received a call to pick up my car. I called on Tuesday to get an update on the status when I hadn't heard anything and was told "I was just about to call you," by the service manager. He said he hoped they would receive the wheel the next day so my car could be picked up. It's the end next day and I have received no call to update the status on my car. This is totally frustrating and there is a lack of follow-up. I'm going on day 5 without my car when I was told it would take 1 day and a half business days. Not to mention, I live about an hour away from Linden. This is a major inconvenience. Also, my temporary plates expired a week ago. I was told the person who takes care of DMV records was out for a week and that may be what has caused a delay. I was assured if I were to receive a ticket due to this, they would cover the cost. That's good information to know but the fact of the matter is I am still without my car and experiencing issues just 3 weeks after buying the vehicle definitely has left a sour taste in my mouth, especially since they charged a hefty fee for "making sure the brakes, wheels, tires, etc. were updated before selling the car." Hopefully, I receive a call to pick up my car soon and won't have any more issues. Nonetheless, customer service and communication needs to become a bigger priority within the Deluxe Service Dept.
