Went back to Deluca Toyota to trade in my 14 yr old Ford. Needed a "safe" vehicle to take on the road to go to series of Dr appointments in Gainesville for cancer treatment. Salesman called me back and sa Needed a "safe" vehicle to take on the road to go to series of Dr appointments in Gainesville for cancer treatment. Salesman called me back and said he had a vehicle that would suit. 2005 Rav4 with lower mileage seemed to be a good deal. Brought the vehicle home and my mechanic gave me a list of problems: bad brakes, bad battery, deteriorated serpentine belt... My loan company refused to release the funds unless these problems were fixed. Had to fight with the dealership to get repairs since I negotiated price down and had to buy the vehicle "as is". I'm an idiot because I thought the dealership had to have done at least an initial inspection and that they would NEVER have sold me a vehicle they claimed was "safe" but had bad brakes etc. After negotiating again, the repairs were done. One week later, my check engine light and two other trouble lights came on. Went back to the dealership and they did a quick check. Told me it would cost another $200 just to do a "smoke test" to find the problem that was in the emissions system. Now, I am scared to take the car on the road because it seems that Deluca did not sell me a "safe" vehicle. Because of cancer treatments my income is sadly depleted and I don't have the money or the time to try and find out what kind of mess I purchased. I now worry that I will break down on the highway. This was my second experience with Deluca Toyota, the first went well. Because I now believe I was taken advantage of I will never do business with this company again. More

Deluca and staff met my expectations and provided a fast and efficient sales process for the Tacoma that I purchased. I used the USAA car buying service to research Internet sales for five dealerships in the nearby area. Ms. Simpson worked with me and my travel schedule to get the vehicle I wanted. This dealership went out of it's way to bring in a specific vehicle for me, with no money on deposit to hold it, and then call me while I was on the road on a weekend to let me know that it was in. They then beat the lowest quoted price for the vehicle and even found an error in the licensing fees quoted on the low bid that saved me an extra $150.00on the total out the door price. Negotiation of the final price and delivery was handled by Kelli. She kept me fully informed of the process and took control of insuring that what was promised was delivered. Upon acceptance of the vehicle, she went through its' features and operation and explained the maintenance and warranty parameters. Even after the sale she has has had several phone follow ups with me regarding the vehicles operation and my satisfaction with the truck. Having been a sales manager for 18 years with a major software company I can appreciate the relationship and experience that Ms. Simpson created during the buying process and would recommend this dealership. Do your research and they will work with you. More

I purchased a 2011 Toyota Corolla new in April of 2011. We had it serviced every 5,000 miles at Deluca Toyota in Ocala, Florida. The first time I took it in (5,000 miles) for routine maintenance, I mention We had it serviced every 5,000 miles at Deluca Toyota in Ocala, Florida. The first time I took it in (5,000 miles) for routine maintenance, I mentioned that the car pulled to the right and had from day 1. The service person I dealt with blew it off as "it must be the crown in the road". That made sense, so I didn't pursue it. Boy, am I sorry I didn't. Anyway, they did the routine maintenance at 10,000 miles, 15,000 miles, and 20,000 miles. I must note that I had them change my oil 3 times, and every time they overfilled it. One time it was so overfilled that I had to take it to my mechanic to drain 1/2 quart off. Anyway, we went on vacation the end of August. When we got back, the car had 25,000 miles on it. So it was time to change oil and rotate the tires. I took it to my mechanic, and he changed the oil, but he said he wouldn't rotate the tires because the front left (and back left) were severely worn on the inside of the tire. He said it should be covered by the 3 year, 36,000 mile warranty. When I called the dealer, the service manager said that was an adjustment, and they only covered that for 1 year or 15,000 miles. My mechanic then suggested I take it to an alignment shop. When I did, I discovered that the front left tire, especially, was worn down to the belt. He said I was lucky that the tire didn't explode. I ended up getting an alignment and 2 new tires that replaced the two on the left side. At that point, I was only concerned about the safety of the tires, not keeping the old tires for "evidence". I wish I had. When I got home, I started to think. If BOTH tires on the left side were that worn, why wouldn't the dealership have told me when I had it in for my routine 5,000 mile maintenances? But, they were quick to point out to me at 15,000 miles that my cabin filter was dirty, and they could replace it for $61. And my wiper blades streaked. They could fix that for another $61. I declined both. I had to ask myself the question - "Why would they tell me about the cabin filter and wiper blades, but not the tires"? I will let you draw your own conclusion. I filed a complaint with Toyota, and they forwarded it to Deluca. When I talked to Deluca, I was told that there was no record of my ever saying anything about the car pulling to the right, and at every 5,000 miles, they inspected the tires after rotating them and they were fine. Now, you could make the point that maybe this tire wear happened after they rotated the tires at 20,000 miles. I know I thought about that. But how else could you explain that the left back tire was worn almost as bad as the front tire, and it was on the front when they rotated it to the back at 20,000 miles? My contention (and I don't have any documentation to back this up) is they rotated the tires and never inspected them properly. My opinion is the alignment was off from day 1, and they never really inspected the tires at the 5,000 mile intervals. There is no way a trained technician could have missed the excessive wear on the tires. When you couple that with the fact that they always overfilled my oil, I wouldn't trust this dealership at all. And I will never go to this dealership again. I will recommend to all my friends that they avoid them, too. I just don't think they're very honest. This is all just my opinion. I bought a Toyota Corolla for it's reliability, not the dealership service. Fortunately, I have a mechanic who is honest and does great work. I'll be taking my car to him for anything in the future. Should anyone want to talk to the mechanic or alignment place that looked at the tires and verify my assessment, feel free to contact me for their names and phone numbers. Update on 11/8/13. I don't know how else to enter my information, so I just edited my initial review to add more to it. Deluca called me (Vera) and wanted to talk to me. I called and talked to Vera. She was very nice and wanted to know if I knew there was a proration on my tires that I had replaced. Nobody ever told me that. I would have thought the service manager would have told me that when I talked to him, but he said nothing. I just received a check in the mail from them that covered the prorated portion of the tread life. For that I am grateful to Vera. If she hadn't said anything, I wouldn't have known. I have no clue why the guy that did the front end alignment didn't say anything about it, either. Anyway, I am pretty well satisfied with Vera's response/check. At least she did something to help me out. I must state that Deluca service shouldn't have done what they did, but I also understand that they service tons of cars every week. As with any dealership, I would proceed with caution. You really do have to keep an eye on them and research things that don't sound right. But I wanted to at least get it on the record that Deluca did help me with my issue. So thanks to Vera. More
