Great experience at Deland Kia Service Department. I came to Deland Kia because I was disappointed with another Kia dealer and I was very pleasantly surprised at the difference. This was my first tim I came to Deland Kia because I was disappointed with another Kia dealer and I was very pleasantly surprised at the difference. This was my first time at Deland Kia Service, but it was enough to see a high level of professionalism and competence on the part of both the service advisor (Derrick K) and the mechanic(s) (Johnny). I dropped my car off at 8 am and decided to wait at the dealership. I had gone in with a written (printed) list of issues I wanted to address. They (advisor and mechanic) actually used my list to do the work and report on the issues, as opposed to summarizing it in their own words. That means they didn’t misinterpret what I wanted, they did not miss anything and they did not ignore anything. While I was there the advisor gave me three status reports during the day – without me having to ask. They addressed every issue and explained what they did and what the result was. On the final paperwork, there were notes written by the mechanic, which impressed the heck out of me. This is a mechanic who used a bit of his valuable time at a keyboard to be responsive to the customer. He explained, in detail, what he did and what the outcome was – and in complete sentences! I’ve had several luxury brand cars and have had occasion to hang out at “luxury” dealerships sipping gourmet coffee, but I can say that this Deland Kia dealership is every bit luxury in customer service. A couple of other niceties that I noticed and appreciated: The advisor didn’t try to pressure me into buying questionable services, and the service manger voluntarily looked into whether a fix could be covered under warranty, that is without me asking. Bottom line: Professional, competent, responsive, and highly recommended. Good job guys. More
