Scheduled an appointment for recalls and tire rotation. She wouldn’t let me schedule all 6 recall services at the same time as they “don’t do that.” I told her they could keep my car overnight if needed. W She wouldn’t let me schedule all 6 recall services at the same time as they “don’t do that.” I told her they could keep my car overnight if needed. Would only let me schedule half then and told me to schedule the other half the day I come in. On appointment day, the service advisor confirmed what I was there for and asked if I needed anything else. Told him I needed tire rotation but declined oil change as it wasn’t time for one. When he asked if I needed any other services, I explained that my car sounded funny when I started it from the key fob,. Asked him if they could give that a try and tell me if they thought something was wrong. Later, when he called to tell me, my car was ready, he summarized what had been done: all six recalls, tire rotation, oil change, and auto start wasn’t functioning as my battery level had dropped below 60%. He asked if I wanted to buy a battery. I declined of course because that’s not what I had asked to be checked and because that is my least favorite feature on my Telluride anyway. I was pleasantly surprised, however, to learn that they had corrected all six recalls despite what I was initially told when I scheduled the appointment. I was frustrated that they performed an oil change when I specifically said I didn’t want it and the extra issue that I asked about was not what they checked. When I picked up my car, I was not charged for the oil change, and the people at the service desk were friendly. It seems to be a very high-volume service department, but maybe the schedulers need some training/clarification and the service advisors should ask follow-up questions during in-take if they’re unsure what the customer is requesting. When I went in to pick up my car, I was looking at a brand new Telluride after checking out. Got sucked in by the sales manager with the whole “we could get you into a brand new one at the same payment if you have 5 minutes” spiel. Test drove with Juan who was very knowledgeable about Kia products and features. Did have to haggle with sales a bit and remind them what they said to me that put me in that chair in the first place. Finance guy, Jacob, knows his stuff. Digital desktop for signing documents eliminated paper shuffling and helped make that part quick and easy. Files transferred to USB and given at the end.
