He was sold on Kia and I had a friend who survived a head on crash (not her fault)in her Kia, so the only decision we needed to make was between the Sedona or the Sorento. We went to two dealerships prior to our trip to Deland Kia. One experience was pressure filled and the other place couldn't get the Sorento we wanted to test drive to start. My husband actually sold me on the Sorento. I thought I wanted another minivan(Sedona) but when I got in it I felt like I was in my Honda. It was very nice but way too familiar. My husband got me in a Sorento and I loved all the exciting features. I had previously asked a total stranger at a convenience store how he liked his Kia and he had great things to say and one of them was to go to Deland Kia. So, on our way home from dealer 2 we went to Deland Kia. It was raining, there was only 15 minutes to closing and up came Meshach. He was very helpful, not pushy and even let me test drive a Sorento even though we were going past closing time. We went back another day and got a great car. Meshach and all the people we dealt with at Deland Kia were terrific. I especially enjoyed the bumper to bumper tutorial we received. Very informative. We will recommend this dealership to all our friends and any total strangers who ask me how I like my Kia. More
After doing extensive research into the type of vehicle I wanted, and choosing a Kia Optima, I was disappointed to have a bad experience with my local Kia dealership. I took a chance and called Mike (Magnum) Mewhorter at Deland Kia to see if he could find the car I had chosen. Boy, what a difference a phone call can make! Mike and the rest of the staff at Deland Kia made driving a little farther to their dealership well worth it. Mike couldn't have been more helpful. Working with him, and the rest of the Deland Kia family, made my new car buying experience truly pleasurable. I'll be recommending this dealership, and Mike Magnum, to all my friends, family and total strangers for years to come. More

We took my wifes 2001 Kia rio for service thinking that someone with an ounce of intelligence could repair her ongoing problem, which by the way has lasted for over a year and cost over fourteen hundred do someone with an ounce of intelligence could repair her ongoing problem, which by the way has lasted for over a year and cost over fourteen hundred dollars so far. but alas, I was mistaken. I've been too a lot of dealerships and spoken to a lot of salesmen, most of which don't know their product "vehicle" they are selling. Mike was just the opposite and knew all the facts about our 2012 Sedona we purchased from him and took the time to explain how all the features of the care I wasn't familiar with. More
We hooked up with Mike "Magnum" Mewhorter at DeLand Kia after bad experiences at two other Kia dealerships (pushy salesmen trying to sell us an Optima that wasn't exactly what we wanted at price DeLand Kia after bad experiences at two other Kia dealerships (pushy salesmen trying to sell us an Optima that wasn't exactly what we wanted at prices higher than we wanted to pay). Our experience with Mike was the complete opposite of those two - he was wonderful to deal with! We drove 40 miles to DeLand Kia and our experience was worth every mile! I first made contact with Mike via the Internet and I was quite defensive at first because of our other experiences. I told him exactly what I wanted (Kia Optima EX in spicy red with few or no extras), what I didn't want (all those pricey extras or cars in specific colors) and that I wasn't going to waste my time playing games like the other dealerships did. Fortunately, Mike quickly eased my fears and made our car-buying experience rather painless!! Although they didn't have the color I was looking for, Mike quickly found one that he could get for me at the price that I was looking for. Even better - DeLand Kia didn't automatically add things like fabric protection, outer paint protection, etc. and then jack up the price by thousands of dollars. (These options and more are availble but it's your choice as to whether you want to add them.) Less than a week after our first contact, I drove home with the exact car that I wanted and it was because of Mike. John Kiel, the finance person, was also very friendly and efficient. I appreciated that he took the time to explain what we were signing instead of just telling us to sign here and here. If you like the shell games that most auto dealerships play, I wouldn't recommend DeLand Kia. However, if you like a dealership that treats its customers with respect and gives it to you straight, run - don't walk - to DeLand Kia. Ask for Mike "Magnum" Mewhorter - he will treat you right! I absolutely hate shopping for new vehicles. In all my previous experiences, I always felt pressured into purchasing something I was not wanting or ready for. There was not one ounce of pressure with Debbie or anyone else at the dealership. Everyone is extremely courteous and pleasant. I will certainly recommend this dealership to all who are looking to purchase a vehicle - new or used. The anxiety of purchasing a new car was removed by my visit to Deland Kia.
