Pulled up to a gentlman (could have beem a sales person) with a flat top haircut and around 50 yrs of age. I rolled down my window and asked if they are open. He replied with a firm "No". Did not invite us to come back the following day during opening hours. He just turned around and walked away. Strike 1! On Sunday, May 27th we stopped by again around 2pm. We could see 3 sales people on the lot. One was already working with a couple. My family and I proceeded to walk the lot and look at the inventory. One sales person in a red shirt walked by us twice; looked at us; did not say a word!. Strike 2! Few minutes later, another employee drove by us; parked the car; looked at us and walked in the office. No acknowledgement. Strike 3! Another employee drove another car. Parked it in the lot, walked to the front office and talked to other co-workers. Did not acknowledge us or ask if we were being helped. Strike 4! We got back in our car and left the lot; headed straight to the dealership next door Picked two cars that caught our attention. We will be buying one of them for our daughter and we will be going back to buy one for my wife later. We will not consider Kia ever again. More

Worst experience ever!!! Came to dealer with a pre approved loan from our bank. Dana greated us and got us into a Brand New Kia Soul assuring us my 21 year old daughter qalified for a loan matching th approved loan from our bank. Dana greated us and got us into a Brand New Kia Soul assuring us my 21 year old daughter qalified for a loan matching the low intrest offered by our bank. We did all the paperwork went to John to finalize the paperwork.Everyone congratulated her over an over. We then went outside and had an hour detailed informational speach from a nice guy Forest who apparently is a NASA scientist according to Dana. Then we drove off with car. 8 days later the dealer called we went up there spoke to an Eric who said John could'nt find deal because it never went through! Shocked as we were he said John and Dana told you it was not finalized which is not true as there was 4 adults in room at all times!Eric sat smug in his chair and stated Well mm she can keep car you just have to co-sign for her! I stated as I stated several times there will be no co-signers she pre qualified for her own car through bank. He said well you better go talk to your bank and see if they will pay for it the and ill call you wednesday.I could not believe how rude he was being and I told him how upset I was! I left there went and spoke to my loan officer at bank who informed me they could not do that car because it was over $4000.00 over priced.After calling and asking to speak with someone in charge we consistantly got told more rude things such as "if you care about your daughter just sign the deal and she can keep car she has grown to love" I truly feel the whole deal was done in the pretense they would strong arm her parents to co-sign the deal.My daughter was devestated humiliated and crushed! I then returned the car after several threatening messages to "bring back their car" as if we stole it!Upon returnng car I was refussed her orignial paperwork releasing her trade aswell as her pay stubs! I then had to argue to get them to switch back the tag to the trade in as to be able to drive home!Parents beware this place will trick your kids and you!!!!Bright side my daughter did purchase a new Toyota Corolla from a Real dealer who holds up to thier word and she was able to hand them a check from bank!!! Whatever you do do not buy from these rude crooks!!! More
When my wife and I were preparing a road trip to Pa in November , we wanted to be sure the eventful trip would go off without a hitch and decided to check out the cars of Deland Kia. We had purchased thr November , we wanted to be sure the eventful trip would go off without a hitch and decided to check out the cars of Deland Kia. We had purchased three cars previously at this dealer (one new and two used.) and were eager to see Kia's new model line up. The optima jumped out as a front runner and a few hrs later we knew our trip was going to be made under the protective umbrella of a 2012 with great looks ,reliability and industry leading warranties. Our trip was fantastic and everyone wanted to hear about our Kia. 6 months later while getting our free service performed on our Optima, we were able to spend the time searching out a second car for my wife. We test drove a 2008 350Z off the used lot and owned it by the time our complementary wash wrapped up the service of our Kia. Matt was extremely knowledgable and never pushed us to purchase, he instead focused on giving us his attention an catered to our questions and needs. It was a pleasant experience I have experienced with each of the now 5 cars I have purchased here in the last 6 yrs. I will not shop anywhere else and am pleased to advise any would be buyers As well as those wanting to browse and get information for future decisions. This is a dealer you will form a long lasting relationship with. Personable knowledgable and effective. Accept no substitute Deland Kia is the real deal. I had gone to another Kia dealer first and was very upset with the bad service I received, the dishonesty, and the agressiveness to push me into buying a car even if it was not the one I really wanted. I called Mike at Deland Kia and told him I was not a happy customer looking for a car, and if it did not work with him I would not buy a Kia. Mike promised me that if I came in to see him that he WOULD find the car I wanted and for the price I wanted to pay. He said he had worked with several customers that had bad experiences before seeing him. I went to see him Monday morning and before afternoon he had located the car, had it transported and ready for me to pick up by the time I left work. Mike was very patient,friendly, and was willing to devote as much time as I needed to explain all the functions on my new Forte 5 door. The financing also went well, he explained about each of the added warranties, but did not push me into purchasing them. I have several friends that have bought Kia's from Deland. I should have listened and went there first, I would have saved myself the stress. More
Meshach was our salesman. He was friendly and knowledgeable without being overbearing. We had not seen a Kia upclose before and were very impressed with the vehicle. We did not plan to buy a car on that day, April 28th but could not find a reason to wait. We liked the vehicle's appearance and the price was reasonable. Matt Rettinger helped us understand how all the bells and whistles worked. He helped set up our blue tooth and explained all the new and improved conveniences on the car. He also was very knowledgeable about all the standard features. We found all the people that we dealt with to be friendly. I realize that they were all trying to sell a car but we did not feel high pressured. If we had, we would have gone somewhere else. We would recommend this dealership to our friends because of the professional attitude and action by the employees. The convenience of free oil changes and roadside service also swayed our decision.
