Incompetent liars. Took my wife’s Kia there with failed axels under warranty. I could shake both axels at both inner and outer CV joints. Car vibrated. They called, said my wheels are way out of balance, I told them they are not, I will get the car tomorrow. Also told me the rear brakes are “worn to practically nothing”, well, they are not. I get there, they tell me they rotated and balanced my wheels, road tested, now it’s all good, fixed, pay us. I never authorized this work…they don’t care, I paid so I could get the car, wife drove car home, Car vibrated much worse than it did when I brought it to Kia Next day, I took car to my tire dealer to balance the wheels that Kia UNbalanced and charged me for, turns out they were off 1/2 oz, rebalanced, now vibrates less, like when I took it to Kia. I ordered axels, replaced them myself, because I care more about my wife’s safety than Kia cares about honoring their warranty. I don’t think their technicians are even capable of diagnosing a flat tire. Service mgr belongs in jail. It’s criminal what they did. More
My engine failed while driving on I95. My mechanic recommended that I call the dealership I bought the car, which I did. I was so happy to find out that the engine was covered. The kia dealership and service department did a wonderful job and was able to give me a loaner car so that I could get to and from work as a nurse. So far it was wonderful. When I called to pick up the car the service representative asked me if the brake light was on prior to the engine failure. I said no, that no lights came on prior to the engine stopping--not even the engine light. They said that the brake light was going on and off (on the dashboard) and that they did not do anything that would have caused it and suggested that I have new brakes. They quoted me a price and being that the dealership is over an hour from my home, I elected to take it to my home mechanic. The dealership stated that it was okay to drive and to please let them know if I found anything about the brake light. I. got it to my mechanic, who quoted me a much better price on the brakes and stated they would look into why the brake light was now suddenly coming on. The mechanic stated that they would look into the brake light for me. They changes my brakes and then assessed the light which was still going on and off. The mechanic then stated that it was probably a problem with a wire when they put the new engine in and they did not know what to do. I called back to Kia, to the service rep who stated he wanted to know the outcome and left a message. I got no call back. I called again and left a message to see if there was anything that could be done. Again no call back. So, my brake light still goes off and on, but at least I have new brakes. The whole incident went from our family stating we would definitely be going back to Deland for a new car when it came time, to maybe, we are not sure. However, I do want to praise the mechanics who worked on my car and got my engine fixed. I do love my car. More
