I am so grateful I received this email to voice my displeasure. Dean Team Volkswagen has been working on warranty work on our vehicle since April. We still do not have a working vehicle returned to displeasure. Dean Team Volkswagen has been working on warranty work on our vehicle since April. We still do not have a working vehicle returned to us. I asked multiple employees for the GM's name and contact information, but nobody wanted to provide it. I finally looked it up online, and found that the GM is Colin Berndt. I filled out an online request asking him to provide his email address which he did on September 22. I emailed him back later on September 22 explaining our disappointment and asking for resolution. I had to send four more emails for a total of five before Colin called me on October 6, two weeks later. He was rude and abrasive, saying the reason he did not call back was because we did not purchase the vehicle from his dealership. This is true, but we did purchase from Dean Team and his dealership has been doing all of our service and warranty work over the last two years. He had not done his research and was assuming that we had towed the vehicle to the dealership in undriveable condition. The truth of the matter is that the service department botched their diagnosis and repair work and then was not competent in rectifying with the warranty company. Regardless, it struck me as unprofessional that he decided it was acceptable to ignore a disgruntled customer directly requesting a call from him. My husband and I explained the timeline and the service team's involvement. Colin eventually admitted that he needed to get more information and look into this, and would call us back. That call was one week ago and we have not heard back from him via email or phone. It is also worth noting that between our repeated requests for communication from Colin, several sales members from Dean Team emailed us asking us to come in and test drive new vehicles. Even when we responded to these emails, we never received a response or acknowledgement. More

My girlfriends father bought their VW Jetta here and has had it serviced here since and when I heard that's where they were taking it. I was like ok let's see if the rumors are true. It is true. They tried charging for warrantied work, for when the part failed again. They didn't install the alternator properly which caused the belt to shred, That didn't need to be replaced in the first place because of a multimeter test showing that the old one was fine. Then they put in a aftermarket alternator from car quest that isn't even for the car. They tell the owner my girlfriends father nothing of this. Then worse they get the car back and they completely sheered off the exhaust. When originally it was a exhaust gasket that needed replacing. Said it was not their problem. They clearly broke the exhaust by lifting the engine and changing the pulley sheering off the exhaust and replaced the pulley with some random one that doesn't even match the original. My coworkers have heard the car before and they were with me and the first thing they said is that "they broke your car man" They refuse to make it right stating the exhaust isn't their problem and that the wrong pulley is good enough and to let them know if the belt falls off. Whatever you do don't take your car here for service or buy a car from them. They're diagnosis methods are severely flawed. I just got back from picking up my new VW Atlas from the service department at Dean Team Volkswagen Kirkwood. I took it in for service because the 7-pin trailer light outlet (which came installed on the veh service department at Dean Team Volkswagen Kirkwood. I took it in for service because the 7-pin trailer light outlet (which came installed on the vehicle when I bought it) does not work. I have tested it with a Curt trailer brake controller and a 7-pin tester and neither of them show it working. However, they both work fine on my daughter's Ford. The guy at the Dean Team Volkswagen Kirkwood service desk said it worked fine for them. I tested it before I left the dealer and it still didn't work. So, I went back in and asked them to show it working to me. His response was that "everyone was packing up to leave for the day". (It was not yet 5:00 and they close at 6:00.) He said I could bring it back tomorrow, but I didn't get the impression they would be any more helpful tomorrow. Dean Team Volkswagen Kirkwood gets an "F" in customer service from me. More
Took car in for service. They held the car for three weeks with no calls to update progress on the car. I had to call them seven times without two callbacks From leaving messages to call. The first week couldn’t figure anything out and mechanic took a day off. Second week the mechanic took a vacation so no other mechanic had the experience to work on a Volkswagen at a Volkswagen dealer service center, Odd! Still no answer on what was wrong or when they would have an answer. The service manager seemed in sure through the whole process. Finally after getting a diagnosis to what was wrong I asked to speak with a sales person about possible trade in. When I went in no one wanted to talk about anything with the car issues or a trade up to a newer car. No one was in their intro speak with me at all. xxxx poor service and attitudes from the three week ordeal. Usually I’d get a survey from the dealer on service and treatment. Still nothing sent to me so I’m guessing the Dean Team does not need me as a customer anymore. I will gladly move on from Volkswagen and go with a car that doesn’t have so many issues and may last longer than two years before monthly service is needed. Customer care was kicked to the wayside with this department. can’t give a positive rating from this ordeal at all. Guess the joke was on me. Hard earned money put to waste on a bad product and dealership that did not want to work with me. My business is gone from a Volkswagen I couldn’t submit without a rating.
