The total sales experience from beginning to end was thoroughly easy, non stressful and with our satisfaction always a top priority. The sales associates spent considerable time demonstrating the differ thoroughly easy, non stressful and with our satisfaction always a top priority. The sales associates spent considerable time demonstrating the differences in various models until my wife and I found the perfect model for us. The GEL version of the Passat. Pricing was better than expected along with great financing . Our sales associate Mr. Breckle was a really big factor due to his knowledge of the product and patience in dealing with two BABY BOOMERS> More
Seriously the *worst* experience I have ever had w any car transaction. They lie, they bait and switch. They would tell me they "had my car on the lot for me to drive home" ... 3 times ... never happen car transaction. They lie, they bait and switch. They would tell me they "had my car on the lot for me to drive home" ... 3 times ... never happened. Did not listen to one thing I said. Tried to push cars that were VERY overpriced. Gave me completely the backwards advice for buy a used Porsche. After the 4th trip, I just picked up my car (they had put me in a rental xxx so that I would drive around w their logo splashed everywhere). The Attorney General should shut them down. They lied to me and tried to belittle me, push me around. Told me I didn't have enough money to drive a used Porsche (They said 30 banks turned my app down! What a joke) Oh they tried to tell me that there wasn't a dead cylinder in one of their 911's I refused to drive bc it sounded like it was die any second. I did drive 2 "drove to death pieces of crud", and then another smelled so strong of smoke I couldn't drive it. They tried to me me feel like an idiot of that too! - Saying the "problem" had been -fixed- the smell and I was just to sensitive. Oh and lets see, Michelle told me if my parents loved me they would by me car - I'm 40! Wanted to know if I had any jewelry they could "use" - no joke. After putting up w this 1 week. I went to 1 other place. Got my financing on the spot (4%) and the one owner dream porsche that Dean Team said didn't exist in this state. I can believe I wasted a week of my life there. RUN from there! More
What a great experience, no haggle on price. My new car was well under market value so need for the haggle of having to get a "great price", already got that. I would say that this was a busy day for the was well under market value so need for the haggle of having to get a "great price", already got that. I would say that this was a busy day for the dealership and the finance part was slow. I worked with Nick and Dave and both worked with me well. I did not recieve my manuals for the car, but Nick responded quickly and will mail my maunals to me. Love my car, was second car I bought from the dean team and would definitely go back. I live in central Illinois and the inventory of 5 dealerships in the area was no where near what the Dean Team had to choose from. Was able to get the color, options and again great pricing for the new car I wanted. Thanks again Dean Team for being such a quality store. More
did not listen to what i wanted, ended up with a car that was over my budget, salesman would not budge on his price and charged me higher when i asked for 15,000 miles on my lease and which i told him upfron was over my budget, salesman would not budge on his price and charged me higher when i asked for 15,000 miles on my lease and which i told him upfront that i drive 17 + miles to work they gave me 10,000 miles. salesmen very pushy and i somehow i signed the papers and had to back out. constantly called and emailed me asking about my car purchase and when I will be back in to look at cars. This was my first car purchase and when I called the salesman on Monday to put the car back on the lot they blamed me for not telling them what I wanted. In which I did and they didn't tell me about any financing options and told me leasing was my only option. More
Jamie was personable and not pushy in the least, he did everything he could to give me the absolute best deal within my price range. He was patient and understanding in the time it took for me to decide on everything he could to give me the absolute best deal within my price range. He was patient and understanding in the time it took for me to decide on a new vehicle. I never felt pressured or displeased with either Jaime's customer service or with the Dean Team's in general. I would highly recommend to anyone I know to buy a car from the Dean Team and to ask for Jamie Novara specifically. More
I walked onto the Dean Team lot back one afternoon at around 2:00 pm to "browse" what they had in stock and had no intentions of buying a car yet because I was upside down on my current loan. Somehow I around 2:00 pm to "browse" what they had in stock and had no intentions of buying a car yet because I was upside down on my current loan. Somehow I was talked into buying a car that night after the salesman wouldn't let me leave even though I kept insisting I would come back on Monday. When I finally got to drive away that night from the dealership it was after 7:30 pm. I did get to leave at about 5:30 to run home and get my son but only after I agreed to buy the dang car!! I returned to the dealership thinking the paperwork would be all done but instead, the guy hadn't even started. The salesman walks past me and says the finance guy is working on my papers now but then the saleman walks up about 10 minutes later and recognizes me then says he didn't know I had returned and he hadn't even started on my paperwork. When paperwork was done, I think I can leave, but no, the car plates hadnt been physically transferred onto the new car so I had to wait....and wait.....because the salesman didn't want to walk away from his new client. I had to get a manager to step in so the salesman would finish my transaction and let me go home! It was a long and trying affair so needless to say I wasn't paying attention to the details of the multiple forms I had to sign just so I could go home. The next day I start looking them over and realize I had been charged $199.00 just to buy a car from them! I also realized that I actually owed $2,400 less on my car then what I had projected during negotiations but they never told me this when they got the true payoff so they got an extra $2,400 off of me. Oh, and it gets worse....now today I go to the License Bureau to get the plates transferred and they tell me I owe $2,000.00 in sales tax!!!!! Why would a dealership NOT inform the buyer that this is all part of the deal and why would a dealership NOT include sales tax in the loan!!! This whole deal was a complete nightmare and I am so angry with this establishment at this time, I will no longer sit quiet. I feel all potential buyers need to be aware of the shenanigans they will encounter if they attempt to buy a car from Dean Team. I have attempted to contact the dealership to see if they want to set this right but no response as of yet. More
If you are willing to play the old fashioned car buying game that takes a good amount of time to get a good deal, this dealership is fine. Do not accept anything as straight forward. The negotiations are n game that takes a good amount of time to get a good deal, this dealership is fine. Do not accept anything as straight forward. The negotiations are not even close to over by the time you think you've struck a deal. That said, they did it with a smile, and the price was reasonable. It was worth it to me. Make sure you go in with good knowledge about the car you are buying and the one you are trading, if you have a trade in. Have some financing plan alternative if you have that luxury. Good hunting. A. J. was immediately responsive to what I needed to have done on my new vehicle (repair of a scratch that was on the vehicle when I bought it)and he made it happen very expeditiously. He also went out of hi done on my new vehicle (repair of a scratch that was on the vehicle when I bought it)and he made it happen very expeditiously. He also went out of his way to accomodate my work and travel schedule by driving me to work and having my repaired vehicle waiting for me at work upon my return from a business trip. I couldn't have asked for better service. More
We had 3 different sales people(one the sales manager), and all three of them were emotionally manipulative, financially untruthful, and flat out lied about the history reports and rarity of the cars. One and all three of them were emotionally manipulative, financially untruthful, and flat out lied about the history reports and rarity of the cars. One of the car reports they gave us was a car fax report for a similar vehicle, but my wife noticed that the VIN numbers were not the same - neither was the miles, condition, or amenities. When I calmly said 3 times that I was no longer interested in a particular car, they threatened to call the cops and have me thrown out out for my "disrespectful and non compliant nature", because I would not sign the papers. They had my wife in tears and were laughing and bragging about it. This is the only place I know off that lives up to the "used car salesman" notoriety. I have bought more than a dozen of used cars from nearly as many places and I have never experienced so much pressure and immortality. We later found out at ******** VW that Dean Team lied over 30 times to us as we were writing information down. Dean team came down over 7K on 2 cars and 5 K on another, but the price different was not enough to allows us to buy something that we could not trust from people we could not trust. We will never buy from dean team, even if they clean up their act. Spend the extra time to go to a reputable dealer like ********, and you will find that their prices are "pre-marked up" to make you feel like you are getting a good deal. More
My wife and I had an excellent experience with Zac, Dave and the entire Dean Team Staff. Zac was very knowledgeable about the car I wanted to purchase and allowed us to drive new and used models to help us and the entire Dean Team Staff. Zac was very knowledgeable about the car I wanted to purchase and allowed us to drive new and used models to help us make up our minds. I will not hesitate to refer friends and family to this dealership and to Zac for their new and used car purchases in the future. More
