First, when I purchased my used 2019 Subaru Outback from them, there were title/license issues - which, I think should be a “piece of cake” for an automobile dealer. Then, I purchased an extended warranty them, there were title/license issues - which, I think should be a “piece of cake” for an automobile dealer. Then, I purchased an extended warranty and was told they only sell the “Gold” standard warranty with a $0 deductible. When I received the paperwork from Subaru, it was a “Silver” plan with a $100 deductible! I complained and they “corrected” it by just reducing it to a $50 deductible. I FINALLY got the plan I paid for after catching this “error”. I mention this for 2 reasons…I have used the policy once already and almost used it again. Here’s where it gets really bad. I arrived with a problem of my passenger front window not closing (like the “sensor” wasn’t working). It was going to rain, so I wanted this fixed immediately. The service “adviser” said it could just be a lubricant issue. He said it is something not covered by warranties. I said I have an extended warranty. He IMMEDIATELY said you most likely have a $50 or $100 deductible. So, I said you are going to charge me a $100 to lubricate a seal? Fortunately, a service department guy came out and sprayed lubricant on the seal which fixed the problem (no charge). I purchased the Outback because everyone (and) everywhere said they are extremely reliable. I am giving Dean Team Subaru a one star because not only did they try and give me a warranty I paid for, but their service department is horrible! Had I not checked my Subaru Warranty paperwork - twice - and the service advisor assuming 2 things…that the repair was not covered by the warranty and, that the warranty had a $50 or $100 deductible, tells me that not only did they try and give me the warranty they sold me, but they, also, attempt to charge for repairs not covered by those warranties. One final note…the Outback only has about 37,000 miles and I purchased it with about 20,000 miles and I have garaged it, too. So, to have 2 auto issues and 2 warranty issues in the 2-1/2 years and 17,000 miles and the title/licensing issues from the very beginning means not only will I NEVER purchase a vehicle from Dean Team Subaru, again, but it has already “tainted” my view of the reliability of the Subaru Outback. More
