My car was serviced in a timely fashion. I take great pride in the cleanliness of my car. After I got home, I noticed oily finger prints on my driver side door, hood, and all four wheels. I did not expect this from The Deacon. I have done a lot of business with the Deacon dealership since 1994. I am a retired aircraft mechanic and fully understand the mess created during oil changes and tire maintenance. Wear clean gloves each time you service a vehicle and clean up afterwards. Please, More

Will tell you anything for you to sign paperwork The manager and salesmen at this dealership are liars! I purchased a certified preowned 2017 Silverado from this company in June. While signing paperw The manager and salesmen at this dealership are liars! I purchased a certified preowned 2017 Silverado from this company in June. While signing paperwork we were told someone was trying to locate the key fob for my vehicle. I let the salesperson and manager know that not having a key fob was a deal breaker for me and that I would not purchase the vehicle without one. After being told they would find it and after I had already signed a "nothing owed" I was told it couldn't be located but that one would be ordered and installed for me. I have been lied to and ignored for months by the general manager and salespeople first being told they were still trying to get me a key fob. More
Didn't work out waste of time was not pleased last week as my loan was approved then changed all because of my employers mistake on my paystub with address, the salesman I had was was not pleased last week as my loan was approved then changed all because of my employers mistake on my paystub with address, the salesman I had was great but the two managers acted "too busy" to figure anything else out after all the hassle of me getting everything together to buy from deacon jones. I'm sure something could have been fixed when calling the bank and financing company back im sure they have made mistakes as well, communication could have been a lot better I left being all confused Maybe this isn't really nothing to complain about but the sales managers do not communicate with you. I did have a good sales guy helping me look for the best car on the lot. And still didn't go home with a new ride, oh well I'm going to a new car lot this week. More

Why I'll never buy from Deacon Jones again Why do car dealerships have to be deceptive? I'm so disappointed in my hometown car dealership. I purchased a used car on March 30th. While signing th Why do car dealerships have to be deceptive? I'm so disappointed in my hometown car dealership. I purchased a used car on March 30th. While signing the papers, the financial officer told me how Deacon Jones was an admirable and trustworthy company and even how God lead him to work there. When it came time for my first car payment I was shocked that my payment was $100 more a month than the salesman had spoken with my husband about. Now I have to take ultimate responsibility for not paying attention to what I was signing, but I was without any question tricked and deceived into purchasing a $3,500.00 warranty and the Gap insurance was double the cost we were qouted by sales manager. Lesson learned from this mistake on my part as well, my husband had "worked" the deal with the salesman and due to scheduling he was not with me when I officially signed the papers. Again, this is my mistake in thinking I could trust the car dealership to honor their word with my husband. Due to my misplaced trust I admittedly did not read papers as I should have when signing. This is also the reason I did not know the Gap Insurance price I signed for was double what my husband was quoted and agreed upon. I fully accept my responsibility for being deceived. Today my husband and I went in and requested to see the video of the night I signed the papers. Again, my fault for not understanding what I was signing, but from watching the video my husband and I quickly saw how I was tricked. The finance man quickly told me about the warranty, even brilliantly drawing on paper as to deceive me into thinking he was being very clear with me when in fact this in itself is a deceptive tool to distract the signer. Then he showed me a piece of paper with 2 options and said which one of those will work for you. Well, my options were pay $3500 that day or they'd put it into my monthly payment. I replied, well my husband didn't tell me to write a check today so I guess this one. Now, what was left out of this tricky sales pitch was "or you do have the option of choosing neither and your car payment will be nearly $100 less a month as verbally discussed with your salesman when you agreed to purchase the car. While we were allowed to remove the extended warranty today, my monthly payment will not decrease. I will have to continue paying the higher payment which is going to be a financial strain. $100 a month is a big deal on an educator' s salary. To continue in the deception and flat out lies, while watching the video today I noted chops in the video and how conversations changed abruptly. I ask if parts were cut out of the video and I was told no. As the video play back ended I recalled how I called my husband during that time and that was not on the video, along with other parts of the original conversation I remembered were not in recorded video. The finance manager insisted that the video was full account of what happened the night I signed my papers. Well when I left car dealership, I pulled up my detailed phone report and I was correct. A phone call was made to my husband during the exact time of the video recording. Again, I know there is a component of trickery and deception to any sales... but I'm very disappointed that a hometown business flat out lied and intentionally tricked me. As my husband said as we left today, "Well they got us good. But it won't happen again.' By the way Deacon Jones... you lost a very expensive truck sale because of my story. If you think one person's experience can't impact your business, you are mistaken. I may have fallen for your deception, but I have learned my lesson and will continuously share how I was lied to by financial manager at Deacon Jones of Smithfield NC. More
Harassed by dealership Be extremely cautious if you decide to do business with this dealership. I traded in my vehicle a few months ago. I was first very pleased with this Be extremely cautious if you decide to do business with this dealership. I traded in my vehicle a few months ago. I was first very pleased with this dealership because my family and I had a wonderful experience. We would even recommend people to check it out. A few months later, I received harassing phone calls. They claimed that we didn't tell them that our car had a salvage title and we would now owe them money because they would not be able to profit from the vehicle. I know for a fact that the vehicle does not hold a salvage title. I called my insurance company for verification. I also ran a vin number report that also proved that it did not have a salvage title. Whenever I called the dealership to prove my case, they would continue to tell me that the car was not going to sell to make a profit. And we would have to pay out of pocket for the loss. More
