Buyers beware I drove an hour to come and get an oil change because they had a good special online when I got there nobody came out and greet me. I walked in the service department. There was a female sitting behind the desk with her phone and she was texting, she looked up and said how could I help you and I told her to get an oil changed and she told me that they were book I arrive at 8:16 AM they open at 7:30 AM. She refused to give me service and there was only two customers waiting to get oil change , this is what happens whenever the owner doesn’t work there anymore Melissa Demontrond if she was there this wouldn’t happen. I am very disappointed at this dealership. More

The service dept for Hyundai is horrible. Had an appt for a warranty thermostat and it took 33 plus hours to get the vehicle. They never answer the phone, Calls with messages to the main number for service aren’t returned . In the end, we picked up the car and as we were walking out the service tech says “ oh by the way, I forgot to tell you the front drivers tire has steel belts showing through.” This was at 6pm. We couldn’t even find a local tire shop open after that time. I will drive 100 miles to the next Hyundai location before I use this one again! More
Brought in 2018 Elantra for diagnostics and was told it needed a new engine for $6000. Had the car towed to another shop for second opinion and discovered that a spark plug was broken. It was replaced an needed a new engine for $6000. Had the car towed to another shop for second opinion and discovered that a spark plug was broken. It was replaced and the car runs like new. So, it was obvious that the Demontrond "diagnosis" was either a lie or just laziness. I tried calling for several weeks to request a refund for the diagnostic work (they charged me around $160), but nobody from Demontrond would take my call, nor return my call. I finally spoofed my number and they answered on the first ring. I explained the situation to them, and they said they'd ask their "boss" if he'd agree to a refund and get back to me. Of course, they never did. So, I'm still out the $160. Stay FAR away from this "business". More
Once again, horrible awful service department. I checked in at 945 for my 10am oil change appointment. I was told it’ll take up to 1 hour and half. I’m writing this review while still waiting, it 1:15 pm now! I asked for an update twice so far I’m getting told repeatedly the car is on the lift. What’s the point of making an appointment?! Why does it take more than 3 hours to get an oil change?! I had a bad experience with their service department before I promised myself to never come here again but I had to! They don’t welcome complaints or feedback. Go get your car serviced somewhere else. Seriously don’t waste your time not your money here! More
BEWARE: I had dropped my Santa Fe off for a scheduled service and left a white Yeti coffee cup on the front floor board of my vehicle. My vehicle was there for four days and the entire time the vehicle was left unlocked because I kept getting alerts from the app that my vehicle was left unlocked. When I arrived to pick up my vehicle I immediately noticed the cup was missing so I went back into the service department (before I left with the vehicle) and explained the cup was missing. The guy went and looked around in the shop and stated he did not find the cup. No other resolution offered. I have since (yesterday) spoke with Patrick the service manager and again.....”Let me check into this and get back with you.” If you want to be treated like your a problem and like you are hassling them for nothing...........when you report you have items missing from your vehicle this is the dealership for you. Customer service is horrible with returning calls or providing any solutions if you have an issue. They simply will not accept responsibility nor offer any kind of solution. Its like they will give you the run around until you give up and just walk away. I will not use this dealership for anything again. More
The service department of Hyundai is the WORST! They do not return calls or even call you with a status on your car. They hardly ever pick up the phone. My car has been there for 3 weeks. I drove up on my day off on Tuesday 5/30/2023 just to find out what is going on. They stated my care would be ready by Wednesday or Thursday. Well, here it is on Thursday, no call and I can not even get a hold of anyone except for the lady that transfers to service. Why leave a message they will not call you back. Now, I will be leaving work early so that I can get down there in time to ask what is going on with my car. I will never take my car back to DeMontrond Hyundai!! More
I went into the service department at Demontrond Hyundai in Texas City on April 28, 2023 to get an inspection and oil change. I have bought three cars from this dealership and have been VERY HAPPY with the in Texas City on April 28, 2023 to get an inspection and oil change. I have bought three cars from this dealership and have been VERY HAPPY with the sales and service department up until today. Chris Swiger was the service advisor who helped me. I requested that he document my concerns on the invoice that I had stated to him when I first brought in my car and he wouldn't. He told me that he had put it into the system and I asked him again if he would please document this issue and he still argued with me that it was in the system and that everything was okay. I said again, "Please put it on the invoice that it was important to me," and that's when the attitude started. I couldn't believe how he was talking to me. I was brought up to ALWAYS treat the customer with respect. This is something he obviously has never learned. I was completely dumbfounded how unprofessional and RUDE he was. As soon as my service warranty is up which will be in another 7,500 miles I will go to another dealership to have my oil changes made in the future. They no longer deserve my money! SO SAD! More
