OK, stuff sometimes happens, my F-150, which I purchased OK, stuff sometimes happens, my F-150, which I purchased a few days ago, was having an issue with starting, it seems the battery was low on juice. Al OK, stuff sometimes happens, my F-150, which I purchased a few days ago, was having an issue with starting, it seems the battery was low on juice. Also at the time I did not know if anything else was wrong, like maybe some electrical or starter problems. So back to Daytona Toyota. Well, their service dept was very busy when I arrived around 1:30 on a Monday afternoon. But no problem, Bill took care of me right away. I was in and out of there in a little less than an hour. With a new battery and a complete electrical check, also they did not just give me some cheapo battery, I got a top of the line high cranking battery. Of course, with no charge to me. Let me also say this about Daytona Toyota's service Dept. I found it to be vey clean and friendly. Contrary to another review. The service waiting area had a very nice wifi set up in one room and in the other waiting area they had a big screen TV and very comfortable seating. Oh and also their nacho's and cheese are very good and also their free hot dogs aint bad either. Thanks Bill for getting me in and out of there in a very short amount of time, with a free lunch. Either they just sold the vehicle I was looking for or some other lame excuse. It seemed like the old bait and switch tactic. But not with Daytona Toyota, they seemed to be much more squared away, they had their inventory up to date. What they showed on the internet is what they had in stock. To make a long story short, if you want a straight shooter, see Craig Lattz, why, because he was the first salesperson, that I have spoken to, that looked you straight in the eye when he talked to you. I respect that. Also I was undecided whith what vehicle I wanted, but there was never any pressure to buy today! Craig worked with me showed me my options, and worked hard to get a good price. Then the sales manager Doug Matton, came in to try and get the numbers to work. AT NO TIME did I feel that I was ganged up on or had any type of pressure put on me. Doug was also a square shooter, honest and straight to the point. I am now the proud owner of a very nice Ford F-150. We were searching for low mileage high quality SUV. Glenn Meadows at Daytona Toyota called our attention to possibilities and we communicated by phone and email over several days. When I finally had time to visit, he arranged for me to take a vehicle 50 miles round trip for my wife's test drive, keep it for several hours, and return at my convenience. During negotiation he implicitly understood that the process is not "zero sum game" and so we achieved resolution through reduced price and increasing value of our trade while still providing fair return for the dealership. Glenn had the confidence of dealership management and self-confidence to work our purchase without recourse to a third party. Congratulations to dealer ownership for fostering an atmosphere in which mutt and jeff tactics are eschewed! As often happens, we left some items in our trade vehicle. Glenn called that evening and let us know that he retrieved everything and all was delivered to our home the next morning. I came in signed the papers for A Corolla took the car home all registered and 4 days later Ken calls to say we didn't sign 1 paper so we went back He told us he had good news we will be getting $250 back home all registered and 4 days later Ken calls to say we didn't sign 1 paper so we went back He told us he had good news we will be getting $250 back and the term was cut to 48 mo. We left 5 hours later with a Yaris and giving the dealer $500 more. I should probably hire a lawyer and sue since Ken said that Daytona Toyota were buying the corolla back but I still didn't get the tax money I paid on it back. I realize Ken screwed up but me paying for it was wrong. More
This is the worst dealership I have ever visited. They took 20 something days to fix my car and it wasn't even done right~!!
