We were greeted as soon as we pulled up by an associate. Everyone was so friendly. Tyler was very helpful and informative. This review is specific to service, but please see their Google reviews, ot appears their sales dept is shady too. Pros: My service writer was personable and professional. Cons: Very small waiting are Google reviews, ot appears their sales dept is shady too. Pros: My service writer was personable and professional. Cons: Very small waiting area that is below average in terms of amentities. Free water and wifi. 😂 Wait, with an appointment, was 3 hours to perform to pull specialized codes that Autozone or the like wouldn't be able to pull. Yep, THREE HOURS. They did not provide the fault codes nor did they do any deeper investigation. 'Says there's a fault.' They added a 'free' safety check. As their recommendations were not in line with manufacturing and six sigma practices (fix one thing, observe results) and they tacked on a litany of 'recommended' services, I did not elect to have anything but the code pull performed here. Logic would state if a battery is end of life, one should change that first and see if that caused the fault codes. They charge boilerplate fees such as 'document writing' and 'disposal fee' even if not applicable for your service. They charge a 3% convenience fee on credit card payments which they don't disclose when you make the appointment. In Daytona, which is pretty much the hood, so people are not typically dropping off their cars. Nice. Show up without cash or a debit card? Prepare to be screwed. Cashier, who was very nice, said workers have mentioned to service msnager multiple times and requested a notice of the 3% fee be displayed on their website, but nothing has been done leading to many angry customers who unleash their anger on the workers. Lovely. Note: I commented to the cashier but was not one of *those* customers. While waiting, I overheard another service writer tell a male customer that HIPAA and OSHA prevented them from keeping refrigerant they had added in a customer's vehicle when they knew the system was leaking. HIPAA of course relates to protected health information and would not apply to automotive service policies. Nor would OSHA, the other federal agency named, as that relates to worker safety. Funny to hear a guy 'mansplain' another guy. Bottom line: if you need to trust someone to work on your vehicle, I experienced multiple red flags indicating that this location is (currently) not worthy of trust. This is unfortunate for me as it is the closest Kia dealership to my home. Hopefully they get a new service manager in to run things and get them up to snuff. Be aware and informed and don't let them xx you. More
