Mr. Carey First and foremost I would like to apologize for the issues you have had with our dealership, and thank You for purchasing your Rio with us. I would like to take the time to address these issues. As the Service Director of this store I am committed to building a team that can deliver the best service experience we can. We are not perfect , but we strive to be better each day. Items 1-2. I will forward these sales / finance office concerns to the General Manager so that we can learn from our shortcomings. There is no excuse for poor customer service. Items 3-4 I am aware of the address issue. However a new car dealership has to retain use of the Main address in certain communications. As the physical location is directly beside the Sales Department and we have street signage as to where the Service Department is located we have not had any significant issues with customers locating the Service Drive. I do believe we can do a better job of educating new customers on the proper areas to enter for service and a proper introduction to the Service Department will help this. 5) The average time to have your first service usually takes about 40-45 minutes . This service includes, the oil and filter change. A charging/battery system test. A multi point inspection. Setting the tire pressures, resetting any maintenance reminder lights. If the customer chooses to have a courtesy service wash and vacuum this adds about 20 more minutes to the process . We hand wash cars, we do not use a car washer for this. This does not include the write up process , checking for recalls, and the closing paperwork and documentation. The appointment is with the advisor to write the service repair order and get the vehicle into the shop. Sometimes workload in the shop can disrupt the flow and cause delays. Especially this close to the holiday weekend. In an attempt to service our customers the best we can , we do allow for customers to "walk in". However appointments have priority. Contrary to your perception, our staff gets it right more than not. I am confident in our ability to service customers and we have over 150 years combined experience with this. Our department is currently ranked in the top 10 in our region of 202 stores and the top 30 out of 765 stores nationwide for 2018. This is not a boast ,but rather a way to try to reassure you , you are in good hands. As I stated earlier, we are not perfect and we do make mistakes. When this happens we try to set it right. You are certainly welcome to use any KIA service department to service your vehicle and perform any warranty repairs. We certainly do not want to lose you as a customer,but the only way to build confidence with us is to give us a shot at servicing your car. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to assist you in the future.
