Amazing experience every time! In the fall of 2019 I spent 2 months researching cars to purchase for my son. I had always been a loyal Honda owner...BUT in the past few years...Hon In the fall of 2019 I spent 2 months researching cars to purchase for my son. I had always been a loyal Honda owner...BUT in the past few years...Honda's customer service and sales approach started me on a search for a different brand. I walked onto the Daytona Hyundai lot, interested to find out what features were on their cars and what pricing was available. I met Eric Dunn while looking at cars. He was super friendly and informative. Eric took the time to listen to what had brought me to the lot that day. I was actually looking at used cars...but he helped me figure out that I was best served by getting my son a new Elantra. When Eric showed me the car, explained the features on the different models, and how the rebates available at that time worked...I knew a 2019 Hyundai Elantra SEL was the right car for my son. Eric introduced me to Regina Nicotra, who was to be the salesperson I worked with. Regina was sweet and patient, answering all of my questions (and since I was not familiar with the Hyundai lineup...I had a lot of questions)! I brought my son to the lot that night, he picked out the color he wanted and we were on our way. The purchase was seamless...there was no haggling about pricing, no "hidden costs", and no stressful negotiating that had to be done. It was an easy, relaxing experience. Eric and Regina seemed more like friends than like sales people. They both genuinely cared that I was getting the car I wanted, and that my son understood all of the features on the vehicle and how to use them. FAST FORWARD to March 2020...amidst all of the Covid19 issues coming at us...my son went out to get a big mac at a local mcdonalds, when a driver literally drove into him going over 90 mph and kept on going. My son...in the 2019 Elantra SEL that I had purchased for him in October...was flipped 3 times and the car landed on its side...the drivers side. The first person on the scene ran up to the car and heard my son yelling Help Help God please help me! The man had to pull my son out of the back window of the car. It was a true miracle...looking at the debris from the wreck...that my son was alive...what was even more amazing...the safety features on the Hyundai Elantra protected my son so well that he literally had no major injuries! All of the airbags deployed, all of the saftey features on that vehicle worked in harmony to preserve the precious life that was inside of that vehicle. What is even more interesting...my son did not even have 1 single burn from the airbags...they were placed in exactly the right place to ensure the passengers inside of that car were kept safe. The car was completely destroyed...you could barely tell that it ever had a trunk on it because of the impact, and the front end was just as bad after hitting the ground and flipping 3 times. BUT...the passenger compartment was completely intact...in fact...my son had his Mcdonalds bag in a seatbelt in the passenger seat...and it was still belted in! I called Eric at Daytona Hyundai about a week after the accident to tell him I would be needing to purchase a new car, and what had happened. Eric immediately reacted as a friend, asking about my son's injuries and what he could do to help. I sent him the pictures, and he was amazed at the pictures. I told him that I wanted to purchase the exact same car for my son, once all of the insurance stuff was done. He assured me that he would take care of us, they did not have any more 2019's left...but that he would use every rebate he could to get me the best pricing possible on a 2020 in the same vehicle. I didn't even question it..because I knew that he would do all he could to get us the best possible price....AND HE DID! Regina and Eric both called/texted during the process to see if they could help in any way. Finally, after a month of dealing with insurance and a ton of other things...we picked up my son's new car on April 30th. Regina and Eric both made sure that he was comfortable in the car (he hadn't driven since the wreck). He drove it around the lot, and felt confident in getting back behind the wheel again. The time we spent at the dealership was like visiting old friends and catching up...they were super helpful and friendly. Regina made sure that the car was detailed, and that my son's apple car play was hooked up properly, and the Sirus XM took forever for them to get a signal sent to the car to work for him...but Regina took the time to get it all taken care of and ensure that he had his car exactly right before we left. I am so grateful that we now have a dealership and friends that we can trust when purchasing a vehicle. Never once did I feel pushed or pressured to purchase. Never once did I feel like the pricing was off or changing...in fact...I never even asked the final price when speaking to Eric until I was getting ready to call my bank for the financing. I knew he would give me the best price...and he did. More
