I had a an issue with my car battery. I was told that the battery needed to be replaced. The battery was still under warranty so I took it to Davis Acura to have it checked out. They te I was told that the battery needed to be replaced. The battery was still under warranty so I took it to Davis Acura to have it checked out. They tested the battery and informed me that the cold-crank maps were optimal and that it didn't have to be replaced. Their recommendation was to have a diagnostic test completed. I declined and took the elsewhere, and in under 2 minutes it was discovered that the battery cable wires were frayed, unraveling and one of the cables weren't connected at all. I think that it's a disgrace that Davis Acura never bothered to inspect with the natural eye to see if the posts and cables were intact. Furthermore, I purchased the battery in August of 2021 after I experienced the same issue of a no start. So instead of the service dept inspecting the battery etc., I was sold a battery when the proper fix was cables all along. It's disappointing to use an auto dealership where they're speciality is the make of your vehicle but yet you can't get the service and care that your vehicle needs to keep the vehicle running and safe on the road. It seems as if they're goal is to have the customers spend as much money as possible in repairs or convince the customer to purchase a new vehicle. That is a terrible practice and an awful way to treat customers. More
