The manager made an assumption about me without knowing me. I am appalled that he would do this, and give what he presumed to be specifics about what he assumed to have happened to my Jeep. I will never return to David Taylor even if every other Jeep dealer in the country closes. I was not allowed to see the diagnosis or repair costs. 1 star is too much for Ricky. Oliver Joseph would never treat their customers this way. Truly disappointed in the service manager Ricky Boyer. This issue is service related only. More
***Update**** March 22, 2023 After speaking with multiple Chrysler Cares Case managers, I was informed that when we returned the Jeep and broken transmission the 2nd time, David Taylor Jeep should h multiple Chrysler Cares Case managers, I was informed that when we returned the Jeep and broken transmission the 2nd time, David Taylor Jeep should have submitted a "STAR Ticket," which would have assisted Chrysler in ensuring the problem would be resolved quickly. Chrysler Cares would have paid $40 daily for a loaner/replacement vehicle. David Taylor Jeep refused to allow me that consideration. They gave me a loaner for one month, November of 2022, and did NOT even bother then TO EXPEDITE my Transmission order or use the benefit offered by Chrysler Cares. My Jeep had a brand-new battery and fairly new tires. It has sat in the weather for nine months now without a second look, so I want David Taylor Jeep to ensure if I have any damage to my Jeep from sitting in the weather without even being started for 9 MONTHS, that I am not going to have to pay out of pocket for that damage, that they will cover it. Every mechanic understands the risk and possible damage from a vehicle being left parked for almost a year. I am not out of line here like the Service manager, and sales manager told me. I have been scolded, talked down to, and told I "was being unreasonable" and angry at the wrong people. David Taylor Jeep has its hands tied and can do nothing for me. The Sales Manager told me I could take my Jeep anytime and that I already spoke to the owner Jason and was entirely out of line in this situation. The Sales manager was not worried that I filed a Consumer Complaint with the Illinois AG office because, according to him, I was entirely out of line and unreasonable. He did nothing but scold me and berate me. The Manager told me, "You can come get your Jeep anytime," but $8000, and 9 months later, all I get is outraged berating lectures from the managers. I am a disabled Veteran. I've been forced to have missed multiple medical appointments and have never been talked down to by a place where I gave approximately $20,000 in the past decade. DO NOT TRUST OR BUY FROM DAVID TAYLOR JEEP. So May 26, 2022, I dropped off my 2007 Jeep Compass 4x4. I had had this Dealership do all of my maintenance and repairs since Dec 2008 when I moved here. I paid $7650 this time for a transmission replacement and other items. The first two times they replaced/fixed the transmission, they gave it to us with faults that wouldn't allow us to shift into 1st, 2nd, or 5th gear. So, since early August 2022, my Jeep is still in the same parking spot today. This Dealership has no loaner cars. In November, they made a big deal and allowed me to drive one that month but insisted I bring it back, they acted like my Jeep would be fixed shortly, but that wasn't the case. I have been left with no vehicle again and no date when it would be repaired or when a part would arrive. Here's the best part, even then, in November, after me returning a vehicle, they didn't think my Jeep or I was worth "expediting. "That just happened a couple of weeks ago. I am still furious about the total lack of effort toward customer service and customer loyalty. I would not recommend buying any vehicle from this Dealership. I never had this kind of treatment before David Taylor Jeep took over. More
