My wife and I made an appointment for 11:30 AM on 07/29/ Avoid at All Costs I strongly advise against doing business with David Stanley Chevrolet. My wife and I made an appointment for 11:30 AM on 07/29/2026 to look at a Mini Cooper they had listed online. I had been texting with "Betty" from their website, who explicitly instructed us to ask for the Pre-owned Director, Collin Johnson, when we arrived. When we got there, we were greeted by a young salesman. We explained we had an appointment, and he went to get Mr. Johnson, who was supposedly "busy" and would be out in a minute. Instead of Collin having the professional courtesy to come out and speak with us, the young salesman came back and started giving us the runaround. He told us they didn't actually have the car, then said it was sold, then claimed it might be coming back. It was a classic bait-and-switch. Recognizing the complete lack of honesty, we got up and left. Mr. Johnson never even had the decency to show his face. I then drove over to the main showroom to speak directly with the General Manager about the lies and the unacceptable way we were treated. Unsurprisingly, another "gatekeeper" stopped me and claimed the General Manager was not available. We took our business to other dealerships that day. Later that evening, I reached out through their online chat and explained the situation to "Sarah" (who may have just been a chatbot). She assured me that someone would text or email me back regarding the incident. I have never heard from anyone. This is exactly the stereotypical, low-down car dealer experience that gives the industry a bad name. They will lie to get you in the door and then hide behind their staff when caught.
