The dealership is now called Acura of North Austin (formerly known as David McDavid Acura of Austin. Earlier this week I purchased a 2024 Acura RDX (base) from this dealership. The sales consultant (formerly known as David McDavid Acura of Austin. Earlier this week I purchased a 2024 Acura RDX (base) from this dealership. The sales consultant was Joshua Guzman (self proclaimed as the "Goose" for a nickname to help distinguish him from other Josh/Joshua persons at the dealership). The introduction, test drive, negotiation and purchase process was not the ordeal than I had feared. The last time I had purchased a car was in 2009 (from the same dealership when it was David McDavid Acura). I had been shopping for cars in the same class as the RDX for past six months and stopped by on a whim to check out the RDX, thinking that I probably would cross it off my list. Total opposite happened. Though I didn't purchase on the first visit, I came back a couple of days later and did end up purchasing after further negotiating and another test drive. Amongst the reasons I had waited so long to purchase another car (nearly 16 years) was just the dread of the whole new car buying negotiation ordeal. However, the "Goose" and the dealership made this relatively painless and so far, I'm satisfied with the vehicle and purchase. If the RDX turns out to as reliable as the 2009 TSX, I will fee doubly good about the purchase! Stop by and visit the Goose and this dealership if you interested in an Acura. More
