We drove from San Antonio to Austin to purchase a Civic. It was not until we had signed all the paper work that we were told the car only had one key to it. We were told that they would call the cars previo It was not until we had signed all the paper work that we were told the car only had one key to it. We were told that they would call the cars previous owner to retrieve the extra key. We were also told it would cost $80.00 to have another key made. That was a lie. It cost more than twice that. Every time I call to see if they got the extra key in, I am told they will call me back and I never hear anything. They treat you real good until you sign the papers, then it's nothing but excuses and broken promises. More
I took my car into David McDavid Acura of Austin only due to close proximity to where I live. I regret this decision as I should have sacrificed distance for quality of service. The service department consis to close proximity to where I live. I regret this decision as I should have sacrificed distance for quality of service. The service department consists of very unfriendly, rude, and unprofessional people. The entire dealership seemed very disorganized. No one greeted me when I pulled into the service department, no one came out to direct me towards the office or ask what service I was there for. I arrived 15 minutes early to my appointment and the service advisor briskly asked why I was there and told me to wait in the lounge. Upon completion of a very simple service, he appeared with a long laundry list of repairs necessary for my car. I was a bit suspicious of some of the repairs and made the mistake of questioning the advisor. He became defensive and didn't appreciate my questions. I had taken my car to two other Acura dealers in the past two weeks (one for a recall and the other for an oil change) and none of these items were mentioned to me before. I received the "report card" with all the green lights marked, but for some odd reason David McDavid Acura disagreed and had several imminent repairs noted. When I told my service advisor about this discrepancy, his only response was that both the other dealerships were wrong, didn't do their job, and failed to perform an inspection. I feel this dealership uses "scare" tactics to convince customers to pay for additional repair work. Also, my service advisor repeatedly told me that my car was old, as if 2007, is ancient history. I did not appreciate his condescending attitude. Raj Cheddie, the service manager, was also very nonchalant and unconcerned about my issues. I tried to talk to him about the discrepancy in work and he couldn't be bothered to even speak to me. He acted like he was too busy to talk to a customer, but I saw him pacing up and down the hallway, making small talk with the cashier and other staff members. All in all, I was very disappointed in this dealership and will not be returning with either of my Acuras. More
David McDavid kept my car for 10 Days - I left it for repairs in the body shop. They had my cell number, email address and knew I owned a local business and had people they could contact if they could no repairs in the body shop. They had my cell number, email address and knew I owned a local business and had people they could contact if they could not get in touch with me. However, they did NOTHING!!!!! Never attempted to contact me and say a problem existed, instead claimed they LOST my contact data. This is very unusual as they had my business card, had me sign consent forms to work on my car. Had my car with my insurance card and additional business cards in the center console and glove compartment. What kind of idiot would let a car sit and then wait for an irritated customer. I called when I returned from overseas and asked when I should come by to get the car. The receptionist said it would be ready 'Tomorrow' and I smelled trouble. I went down and then found out that they Lost my contact data. I then went to the General Manager to complain. Before I got there the Body Shop manager called and lied to her claiming I offended a customer by yelling at him. Maybe I did..... I will not deny I was upset. She later called and said that she decided that I would never be made happy and should 'go elsewhere' I did - Ellis and Salazer - they did a great job and on time!!! Beware of this place they lose data and have no idea of customer service. More
BAD BAD SERVICE I have had nothing but bad luck from this place. It started when purchased the car. I told finance lady Rebeca that I was gettign car finance at mycredit Union. I was told to just sign this f place. It started when purchased the car. I told finance lady Rebeca that I was gettign car finance at mycredit Union. I was told to just sign this for tonight. Well I went back In am with funding from my Credit Union and was told that she already sent to main office. Well that was also a lie. I called main office not once not twice but 4 times. PAperwork never showed up until 4 weeks later. When she registered the car. SHe didnt even pay to get the tags renewed. 2 months later I had to register the vehicle. Heres the major problem that I have had with Mcdavid. I brought my car to them with rattles (under warrant Mind you) in from Killeen. Later that day I get called from the alleged Service Manager(Raj Cheddie) to tell me that the rattles were becasue the car was HAil Damaged and that they were not going to fix.(Per Sonia General MGR).Well I turned right aroung to call Sania Heredia and she just tap danced and told me that she didnt I have had nothing but bad luck from this place. She just tap danced more. Well I called Acura Cooperate and complained. Within 1 hr of me complaining Sterling Acura called offering to do what they could. Well more rattles have developed, a piece of moulding around windsheild has cracked. We took to Sterling again because I did not want to deal with Mcdavid. We were showed several things that were wrong. 1) not Acura Hood,2) Winshield not Intalled properly. So we go to Mcdavid since they were the one who had done the work originally. We were told that (By Louis) in service that they had to contact the PLANO Acura Body shop since that was where work was done. We waited for 3-4 days. My wife called back because no -one had called us. She was told to give them until Wed the following week to get info. Wed came and went. My wife called again the folowing Tuesday following their Wed dead line. They asked here isn't your car in Body shop? We have it showing here its in shop now. My wife said I assure you my car is in my garage still waiting for you to call us. So they finally scheduled a day to take car in on Mon 8 Nov. But since we were already running a few errends on Sat 6 Nov we asked if we could bring car in then. (No Prob as of yet). So we leave in a loaner car. Do our things and go Home. I am in Military so I had to leave Sun 7 Nov to Ft Sill Ok. Well On Tues 9 Nov I was hospitalized for a bad pain sweating vomiting etc.So my wife drove out her to be with me. Well Mcdavid had called that afternoon to say that our car was done. My wife called and talked to Louis and explained the situation to him. He said the she( my wife) would get a call from his boss incase she didn't believe him. Well we get a call from some female saying that my wife having the car past when our car was done was UN-Acceptable. A day later we got called again from LOUIS stating that we were going to be charged for loaner for Wed and Thur at $49 a day. Well my wife called and Spoke with Raj Cheedie and explained to him what was going on. She had mentioned traffic in Ft worth as well as trafic in Austin. He had the adasity to say that she was making excuses not to bring car back. I have already had a unexcaptable experience with Raj in past so this has really rubbed me the wrong way. Well my wife has now left, I am still bed ridden to bring them their Dam car back. We have also Called Acura Cooperate again about this place. So if you want to be taken care of like a customer should be. I HIGHLY!!!! recomend that you go elsewere like Sterling Acura just a little further from Mcdavid. Much better service much better attitude and are much more helpful. Hope this helps you in your decision More
The staff at McDavid Acura made my buying experience a pleasant one. I was able to find the vehicle on their website and worked with Jason to make an appointment to come see the vehicle. Upon arrival, t pleasant one. I was able to find the vehicle on their website and worked with Jason to make an appointment to come see the vehicle. Upon arrival, the car had been cleaned and detailed. I test drove the car and started negotiations with Sonia which is the GM of dealership. I was stunned that the GM was working the deal directly with the customer. Once the price was settled, I had the pleasure of working with Rebekah, the financial advisor. She was very helpful in explaining the different options I could purchase for the vehicle which included tire and extended warranty, available options for the vehicle, and financial options. Overall, I would highly recommend this dealearship to anyone that is hesistant in buying a car. I'm very happy with my new ZDX.. More
I made a meeting with Chris Sullivan to test drive a car (used). I show up and Desmond shows me to the car and lets me take it for a test drive. Desmond seemed to not know much about the car or he just forg (used). I show up and Desmond shows me to the car and lets me take it for a test drive. Desmond seemed to not know much about the car or he just forgot to tell me about it. About a week later I emailed Chris Sullivan to see if I could take the car for a couple hrs to get a better test drive then just around the block. Chris Sullivan set up an appointment for me to come in and get the car. Chris sent me an email asking what time I'd be coming in that day. I phoned him because it was the next day that I could go in. The next day came and I picked my kids up from school and we headed to the dealership. Mind you it's rush hour and I already live a good 15mi away. It took us about 40min to get there. Guess what? They sold the car the day before and Chris Sullivan didn't have the courtesy to call me and cancel. I drove all that way for nothing!!! Chris Sullivan wasn't even there and either was Desmond. Some other salesman told me. Obviously Chris didn't have the guts to come out and tell me hisself. I didn't tell the other salesman what car I was interested in but he went looking for Chris and then said "you're here for the Mitsubishi" and I said yes and he said it was sold yesterday! How enraged I was. No sorry or anything. He then asked if I wanted to look at something else! No!! I would not buy anything from that dealership after that. Only go here if you feel like playing games and want some disrespect! More
Outrageous pricing, difficult new car sales manager, many small details screwed up (my title didn't even have my name spelled correctly), hurried me out after I closed the deal- bad, bad, bad. A buying nigh small details screwed up (my title didn't even have my name spelled correctly), hurried me out after I closed the deal- bad, bad, bad. A buying nightmare. The temporary plate was hanging by one screw. Took 22 days for them to mail my house key to me. More
Went to the dealership to pre-view the new ZDX. As soon as I walked in the door, I was greeted by a saleperson. The salesperson was able to answer every question I had about the car. I was suprised how w as I walked in the door, I was greeted by a saleperson. The salesperson was able to answer every question I had about the car. I was suprised how well they knew their product. The dealership itself was clean and well-maintained. I will certainly be back once I'm ready to buy an Acura. More
Upon finding out that my previous vehicle was no longer in working condition, I dreaded going to a dealership to purchase a new one. Quite honestly, I hate the over bearing sales people that hover over me in working condition, I dreaded going to a dealership to purchase a new one. Quite honestly, I hate the over bearing sales people that hover over me like hawks. When I arrived at David Mcdavid however, I was greeted pleasantly by a young gentleman who was eager to sell me a vehicle without overwhelming pressure. I immediately felt at ease with the entire process and found him to be extremely knowledgeable of every car on the lot. I was in the market for a used car and am usually weary of pre-owned vehicles, yet I found the inventory to be very impressive. Most of the cars were in impeccable condition with little mileage. Once I found the car I wanted, I was fearful I would be spending my entire day signing papers. Much to my surprise, I was able to complete the entire process in only a few hours. The customer service was excellent and the general manager was one of the most genuine people I've ever met. It seems most general managers tend to stay locked in their offices with little interaction. This one was quite the opposite and made my buying process a very enjoyable experience. As most dealerships drive me away, this one is completely different. I felt very inclined to share my positive experience and will definitely refer everyone I know! More
