As anyone who has had their vehicle serviced far from home, I was terrified of being taken advantage of. Much to my relief, I received great satisfaction from the staff at the dealership. The service managers were extremely informative and helpful, and kept our concerns to a minimum. The mechanic (Zeus) was highly knowledgeable, and actually came in early on his day off to fix this problem; in fact, when the problem proved to be elusive, he took time from his vacation to finish the job! Initially, the problem was a seized crank sensor, which the mechanic fought to loosen and replace in a way that saved me the potential of great expense. When the sensor proved to be only the tip of the problem, the mechanic spent more time on further diagnostics and wiring repair - but in doing so, the problem mysteriously corrected itself; the thinking seemed to be that the removal and reinstallation of the existing wiring may have corrected the issue. However, I was not charged one cent for any of this extra labour - only the cost of the initial diagnostic and the labour for the sensor replacement! Overall, it was a great experience for someone who was a helpless traveller and at the mercy of an unknown service department. From my experience, I can assure you that you can trust the staff at Frank Shoop! More

He talked to us and answered all of our questions, and we were finally able to make a deal. The vehicle was in great shape like they had said on the internet and we were very pleased with our experience. We would highly recommend talking to Chris Barber and buying from Frank Shoop. I know everyone's experience is different and some can be bad, but we did have a very good day with them. Thank you so much. More

The July 4th mailer I got from Frank Shoop, however, was downright misleading. It showed a combination of symbols directly next to text stating a prize of $200 so - despite my better judgement - I took a chance and went to the dealership to check. I was told "it doesn't really matter what you get on the card, we have to look the confirmation code. That's why they put the words on it." I actually repeated that last part to him, like, "that's why they put the words on it? What does that even mean?" He looked a little sheepish -the look of someone who knows he's about to do something very wrong - and checked the code to reveal...surprise!...a pittance which wasn't worth my time to claim. I was literally standing there and it still wasn't worth waiting even another second for him hand me the thing. I walked out immediately, and I'll never back. I would never do business with a company that intentionally misleads and deceives people, and that's exactly what their mailer was designed to do - on a very large scale. More

They didn't fix it correctly. Then wanted to charge more to fix their mistake. Over 2 months im out $2300 and have a truck still not fixed. Talked to every level of management and even to Shoop himself. I still got screwed. Again liers and crooks. Take your vehicle there at your own risk. If i could give a negative i would. More
This dealership was a total waste of my time. They have a used vehicle listed as "fantastic condition". My family and I made the drive from south of Louisville based on the internet description and assume a used vehicle listed as "fantastic condition". My family and I made the drive from south of Louisville based on the internet description and assumed since this was a "reputable" dealership the listing was accurate. The car that was said to be fabulous and garage kept had hail damage, scratches and a softball sized dent in the rear. On a scale of 1-10 this car rated a 5 at best. So after a 90 mile trip, one way and a 2 minute view of the car we returned home. The next day I checked the site to see if the overly apologetic salesman had updated the listing. The answer is, "no". It's still incorrectly described and I'm sure I am not the last person who will waste their time and over priced gasoline to view this dealerships "great buys". (Insert sarcasm here). More
