Great experience I had to purchase a vehicle after my car was totaled in an accident. Scott was very helpful that Saturday when I first arrived to look around. I alrea I had to purchase a vehicle after my car was totaled in an accident. Scott was very helpful that Saturday when I first arrived to look around. I already knew I wanted a CR-V. After he showed me a couple I decided I wanted the EX-L. He was patient with the demands my mechanic was making before he would advise I sign the final agreement. I had to be the "messenger" that following Monday with a long list of demands from my mechanic. Scott handled everything very well and eventually I was able to come in to pick up my CR-V. Chuck thoroughly explained all the paperwork I had to sign that day and put me at ease after I apologized repeatedly about the demands my mechanic was making (some of which seemed like they were not really necessary and he was just in a battle of wills). I'm very happy with my vehicle and there are many reasons I'm glad I visited and chose to work with Rhinelander Honda that day. More

Horrible, Awful, Worst Experience EVER After researching for quite some time (almost two years), I had finally made a decision on what brand, model, and year I was going to purchase as my n After researching for quite some time (almost two years), I had finally made a decision on what brand, model, and year I was going to purchase as my next car. I was in search of a 2012 Honda Civic. I did further research inquiring which dealerships had the same car for the best deal (ie low miles for a fair asking price.) The closest option for me was Rhinelander Honda, as I live in that town. So I filled out their "pre-approval" form online for financing and almost immediately got a call from the dealership. Chuck called stated that this vehicle was well in my price range and would like to set up a time to test drive. I told him I had planned on coming in Saturday morning and he made an appointment with his partner, Jon, as he wouldn't be in that day. On Saturday I left the dealership very pleased. Jon was VERY helpful in showing me all of the options on my soon-to-be new car, as well as the loyalty to many returning customers. However, my experience on the following Monday with Chuck definitely over shadowed this nice experience. I put cash money down on the car (to prevent others from being able to purchase it) and was to return Monday after work to sign paper work and pick up my car. All day Monday I waited for a call from the dealership waiting for the final 'okay'. I never got any calls. I in fact ended up calling them and asking if everything was a 'go'. Chuck's answer was to just come in and well work it out. So after work I went to the dealership. After noticing the car I wanted to purchase was no longer parked in the same spot it was moved to after I put money down I became a little leery. I met Chuck as he was pulling around a different car. Upon meeting Chuck he explained to me the banks they worked with would not finance the Honda I had previously put money down on he had pulled some other cars "that might work for me." I test drove a Chevy and when asked why the bank would finance a Chevy and not a Honda FOR THE SAME PRICE he made up some b.s. excuse that Honda are "very reliable and well made cars making them more valuable." After finding out that I was not a fan of the Chevy, Chuck then put me in another HONDA! Well, I thought no bank would finance a Honda to me Chuck... I did however like the last Honda I test drove and told him to transfer my money down to that car, and I would think about it over night. After deciding NOT to buy Honda number 2, I decided to send my little brother in to pick up my deposit, as I felt that Chuck was SUPER pushy and wouldn't take no for an answer if I myself went to pick it up. While there, Chuck told asked him if I was still in the market for a new car, and after replying yes and saying I was planning on traveling to Green Bay to look at cars he told him that I wouldn't be able to finance a car in a different county than the one I live (also a lie!) After telling everyone I knew about my horrible experience, my mother, who is also a loyal customer to this car dealership, decided to call and complain. This is what actually happened to the car I WANTED to buy. While test driving it on Saturday, the dealership received an email stating that there was another interested party. This interested party would be there Monday morning (while I was working) to test drive the car. The dealership allowed these people to test drive a car that was "moved to the back lot so no one else could buy it," and further allowed them to purchase it for a higher amount than I would have. Basically, they sold the car out from under me, then expected me to buy something else on the lot! Horrible, horrible experience. Would not recommend ANYONE to go there. The following week I drove down to Green Bay and purchased the same car, at the same price at Dorsch Ford and Kia. I WAS approved, and had a wonderful experience there. More
