I purchased a 2011 Volvo, <40,000 miles with a salvage title mid Dec. 2023 for my son to take to college with him. 1. January 2024 - I had to replace the battery 2. Feb 2024 the car died while my son title mid Dec. 2023 for my son to take to college with him. 1. January 2024 - I had to replace the battery 2. Feb 2024 the car died while my son was driving. We had it towed to a import repair shop. It was the alternator 1500.00. I did not have the money at the time for such a costly repair so it sat until roughly June 2024. 3. June/July of 2024 after 6 months of ownership the car is being used 4. Sept 2024 the car is hit in a parking lot, I run it through insurance, I take it to a AAA collision shop, I am told with the amount of bondo, the collision shop is unsure they can repair it safely. 5. October 2024 the car dies on the side of the road again. I have it towed again and am told it is the timing chain. This time I reach out to DM. I am told that the only way they will help me is if I bring it to them to look at. The cost to have it towed from where my son goes to school to D&M motors is over 700.00 this is not a viable option for me when I am already looking at thousands in repairs......agian. More
