I went to this dealer assuming the worst, because of the assumed perception that all of us have when entering any car dealer establishment. Most dealers probably would have given us a hard time (some have in the past). As it turned out, the staff was extremely helpful and accommodating to any request that we made. Not once did they ever even hesitate or push back on our requests. KIM MELLAGE and MARK were absolutely truthful and honorable. Just terrific sales agents. This is probably the most pleasurable and non-stressful vehicle purchase that I have ever made. I strongly recommend DCH Montclair Acura to anyone looking to purchase a new or used car. More
We walked in the DCH Montclair Acura late afternoon on a recent Saturday without an appointment. Jeff Torres was very attentive, but was never pushy. Granted that it was a newly redesigned TL, I was quite impressed with his knowledge about the car to answer all my questions. When we asked to compare 2 similar colors, in no time Jeff pulled the 2 cars side-by-side so that we can compare them from different angles and in various lights. We left on that day without any pressure from Jeff. I was very impressed. When I requested for a quote via the internet, Jeff was responsive, reasonable and willing to work with me. Above all, he was consistently professional and gave me a great deal on the car. I do not like the car buying process in general, but Jeff made the process virtually painless. In fact, it was very pleasurable from beginning to end! It took us no time to get to a deal with absolutely no pressure during the entire process. The color I wanted was neither on their lot nor scheduled to come in the next delivery. It took Jeff a very short time to track down the trim and color I requested that were scheduled to be delivered to another dealership and had it instead delivered to DCH Montclair. One other notable mention is Lisa. I was late for the appointment with Jeff for the deposit. While he was busy with another customer, Lisa came over and filled in for Jeff with all the paperwork. She was friendly, efficient and even answered some of my questions about the car. There is something about the team work culture at this dealership. Everyone is very friendly. Kudos to them! I rarely give the highest rating to anyone. However, I gladly rate Jeff and the DCH Montclair team the highest. Although I had visited and dealt with (in person and via the internet) many other dealerships closer to my home, I was not at all impressed with their attitudes toward customers (some were even rude in person and via emails; some internet representatives would not provide quotes by email, but called me 2-3 times a day requesting me to come to their dealerships). I live about an hour from DCH Montclair. I chose to do business with Jeff simply because he shines above them all. More
I called through the costco intranet program. Told lisa eaxctly what I wanted and she did the paperwork over the phone the night before I went in to pick up my car. Very quick and very nice to me through out the process. The dealer also had someone from service followed me to another dealer to return my previous lease. Then bring me back so Lisa so she could demostrate the features of my new car. The whole process took and hour and half. More

None of the typical back and forth playing with the numbers game. They were helpful, efficient and friendly. The whole process took 24 hours and that was because I left my title at home and had to bring it back the next day. The 150 point certified inspection was shown to me along with the carfax which put me at ease and they worked hard to bring the payment to what I asked for. I reccommend Acura of Montclair to anyone looking to buy a certified or new Acura. More
I went to DCH Acura in Montclair to test drive the new MDX. Loved it! My initial salesperson, Sammie, was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the vehicle and all of its features. The dealership did not have the color that I preferred and went out and swapped with another dealer. They had the truck in 2 days. My salesman was on vacation and I thought I would have to wait to pick up the vehicle but Sallyann, another sales person at DCH, was kind enough to take time out of her schedule to go over all paperwork and functions in the vehicle. OUTSTANDING! When my wife's lease is up on her existing vehicle we will be going back to look at an Acura TL for her! More
Sallyann was very pleasant to deal with. She was upfront with us about the pricing, and able to answer our questions or refer us to the right person who knew the answer. She did her best to make the buying process as smooth and efficient as possible. When it was time to pick up the car, she took the time to explain some of the features of the car. After delivery, she kept in touch and made sure our questions were answered. I have already referred 2 work colleagues to Sallyann who also purchased cars from DCH Acura. More
From the moment I walked into the Montclair dealership, what was promised was delivered. No sales gimmicks, no changing the rules of the ballgame in the middle, none of that. I was respected as a prospect and treated exactly the same way as a customer. The paperwork process was very smooth and the auto delivery was without a hitch. Some minor scratches on the car outside mirrors were immediately noted an replacement of the mirrors was promised any time I come in for service, or sooner if I choose. I am coming off of an Infiniti G35 with NAV and I must tell you that the Acura Tech package is far superior. Don't get the G35 NAV system as it is the worst to program and can be changed or searched while the car is moving. With the Acura NAV system, your passenger can use it even while the car is in motion. A real plus! More
I brought my Acura MDX for a 45K service. This is our second Acura, which we bought in Montclair Acura. We plan to buy a new car. Our choices ar Infinity M35 series, Lexus GS35 and Acura RL. Therefore, today was a convenient to learn more about Acura RL and get test drive. I entered the dealership around 9:30 am. There were several sales people, and not single customer. Surprisingly from our past experience, it was not easy to get any attention. Finaly a young sales rep showed up. He handed car key and I was on my own, because he is expecting a customer. As soon as I turned the car on, red light informed me about the empty tank. I took few minutes drive and returned back to the dealership. I ask receptionist to see a sales rep. I was introduced to a middleaged gentleman. I have on question, tell me why I should by Acura Rl and not Infinity or Lexus. After 10 min working on computer, young fellow (the first sales rep, who was surprisingly not busy with new customer, dealership was empty), hand me few pages of generic print out on these three cars, related to equipment only. I bought Acura TL 2004 and Acura MDX in 2005, and had two excellent, passionate sales reps. I am OK with the service program, by the way, the coordinator Ellen is very effective. Thus, your dealership needs some drastic improvement. I am not sure about my next car, but I am positive, that will not be Montclair Acura. Happy New Year, Ivan D Horak, MD, FACP More
My family has owned a total of 4 Acuras. We've had 3 Legends and a 2005 MDX. Recently when i brought our 1995 Acura Legend to be serviced because i noticed the coolant level kept dropping, they said th Legends and a 2005 MDX. Recently when i brought our 1995 Acura Legend to be serviced because i noticed the coolant level kept dropping, they said the car's head gasket was bad, and because we had been driving it so long without replacing it the engine was 'beyond repair'. They said it would not be logical to buy a new engine, and they were offering $500 dollars if we left it to them. ARE THEY CRAZY?! It only had 89K and it was 12 years old. They said the only thing they could do with it was auction it off. xxxxxxxx. I brought it to a garage in Irvington and they changed the radiator cap and another obscure part and i'm still driving it today. While they were evaluating it the first time, a technician who was working on the car came out and asked me if i would sell it to him for $2000. the dealership is corrupt. They don't even have a nice waiting area, stick with Bridgewater even though it's far. I'm trying out Denville now for my '05 MDX, their next opening is in a week. More

I had several unique needs for my new car & they outfitted it exactly as i wanted - Bottom line the right car (an MDX) at the right price with the right dealership behind the product this was a no brainer for me and i have already recommended 2 friends to them.
