I had been given 3 contact names and was thinking of calling her since she was the only female on the list. Right away her friendly helpful manner put me at ease and made me eager to come in. She arranged an appointment and followed up later in the week to confirm. When I arrived she introduced me to Don Nardone, my salesperson. Don sat down with me to discuss what I was looking for and we decided to test drive the MDX and RDX. Pulling out of the lot I ran over a small curb and Don immediately put me at ease. We drove on various roadways and I in no way felt rushed to get the car back. We went out in the second car ( without hitting the curb) in a similar fashion. We returned to the dealership and all of my concerns were addressed to my satisfaction and I was given more details on the car that I was leaning toward and information on what I could expect from the service department. I was sent out to lunch as we waited for the business manager and to make my final decision. When I returned I completed paperwork with Don and Ben Klein. All during this process things were explained without rushing me or pressuring me. They made arrangements to close out my lease with another company, Don spoke with my insurance company to arrange coverage as my agent is not open on Saturdays. I returned to pick up my car a little later. I left, a happy customer, with the car I wanted, complete coverage of everything for $40 more than what my old lease cost. Dealing with Jose and the DCH Montclair staff was an unexpected pleasure. Went in to take a look at the tsx and ended up buying one. I decided to check out Montclair Acura after I was turned off by another dealer I had went to earlier in the week. They didn't use typical salesmen jargon, where you would feel uncomfortable asking a question. Car shopping is not fun with pushy, cocky salesmen but the staff at Montclair Acura makes it easy with having a laid-back, approachable attitude. I would definitely recommend them! More
I had an excellent experience leasing my RDX from this dealership. Tony was a pleasure to work with! As a female taking on the car shopping experience alone I was afraid I wouldn't ask the right questions dealership. Tony was a pleasure to work with! That was definitely NOT the case here. Tony took the time to go over all of my options and choose what was best for ME. Once I decided the RDX AWD was for me (which by the way, has been awesome in the snow with this terrible winter!) he helped me program everything from mirrors, radio stations, Bluetooth, etc. I HIGHLY recommend working with Tony and DCH Acura. I live in Queens New York, and was looking to purchase a new 2014 Acura MDX. After lots of comparison in price, and service reviews, it came down to DCH Monclaire and Curry Acura. Both offered the best p new 2014 Acura MDX. After lots of comparison in price, and service reviews, it came down to DCH Monclaire and Curry Acura. Both offered the best price around with DCH edging out by a little over $400. Paul Dejets was the internet sales manager that assigns the sales person and answers any questions you may have. And he has been a pleasure to work with. He is very knowledgeable and very patient in answering all of my questions on the MDX (and I had a lot of question) prior to purchase. Initially I was assigned to a sales representative by the name of Sergio. I was not very happy with his service. He made mistakes on the invoice, could not be reached most of the time, and doesn't call back when I left messages and emails about my concerns on the invoice, or questions about the car. (And I do give ample amount of time lapsed before I make this claim, three days each time to be exact). This was almost the deal breaker between DCH and I. But Paul assured me that I will be assigned another sales person, and I was glad that he talked me into staying I was assigned to Walter Goldman. He is fantastic. Very knowledgeable, not pushy, with all the patience in the world like Paul. Another person worth mentioning is Marie Rossie. She did our finance and warranty. Another straight forward person who was willing and able to explain whatever it was that I didn't understand. My overall experience with DCH Montclair Acura is that they are very straight forward, and honest. You get what you bargained for, and you will not get a penny less after that. They are very knowledgable of their product, and are willing to take the time to explain to you all that you need to know. NOTE: Even after the sales was done and I needed some additional information sent to my insurance company, they were happy to help, which was very different to a Range Rover dealership in NJ that I just purchased a Evoke with. DCH Acura in Verona, NJ went above and beyond at a time I really needed them most and was jammed into a really bad position. Leaving Newark Airport on a frigid February evening, my transmission started really needed them most and was jammed into a really bad position. Leaving Newark Airport on a frigid February evening, my transmission started to fail. I forced my old MDX to get out of Elizabeth and limp past Newark to finally pull into the nearest Acura dealer I could find on my GPS - at 8:55pm on a Tuesday about 60 miles from home. The ladies and gentlemen at DCH immediately focused on how to get me to my neighborhood. Did they even suggest sticking me on a train back into the New York City then catching another train back out to get home by 1 or 2am if I was lucky? No, the people working there are from all around the area and found the person closest to my home to give me a ride - saving me hours fighting to connect random mass transit home or making my wife leave the kids alone to travel hours out and back through the cold and dark to get me. Special thanks go to Mike Porreca (the Assistant General Manager) and Ben Klein (the Sales Manager and my friendly chauffeur) for rescuing me on such a cold and ugly day. And as a follow up note, both their service and sales department after the fact have been very straightforward with me discussing my car and the issues I am facing today. Logistics make it difficult but they have certainly been a legitimate conversation to potentially fix my old friend or sell me a new one despite the distance. UPDATE: So I had an even better experience with DCH working through a deal on a stellar used car they had available. They had a solid, clean vehicle they had cherry picked but still offered at a reasonable price and they were willing to work on with me on it despite the awkward position I was in with my old dead friend stuck 80 miles from home. They worked through all the pieces in a professional fashion - even taking ownership of an issue that showed up after I'd taken the car off the lot. I'm a month+ in with no complaints and I would certainly recommend them. More
