I purchased a new Honda Fit last week. I could not be happier with the car or the entire sales process. I live in Toms River and went to two different dealerships closer to me before submitting an onlin happier with the car or the entire sales process. I live in Toms River and went to two different dealerships closer to me before submitting an online quote request. Within minutes RJ contacted me with a straightforward quote in a simple email and follow up phone call. I appreciated this so much since other dealer online quotes consist of 3 or 4 spam emails with no real substance. I was going to buy a Honda Fit no matter what, but RJ is the sole reason I bought it at DCH Kay Honda. There are 3 or 4 Honda dealerships closer to me that I would have bought the car from but RJ blew them out of the water. I will recommend him to everyone I talk to. I also dealt with a finance manager for a short while (I believe his name was Anthony) and he was very kind and helpful. Here are a few things that stood out for me when comparing DCH Kay to other dealers. 1. Respect of online customers. I get the feeling that dealers in the area don't really take online car buyers seriously until they get them into the dealership. It appears that isn't the case for DCH Kay Honda and that is the reason you got my business. 2. Willingness to communicate through email. I work during the day and am unable to make personal phone calls. For whatever reason, it's like pulling teeth trying to get some dealers to communicate through email. RJ was more than happy to communicate over email and it allowed us to negotiate the sale much quicker which lowered my chance of buying from somewhere else. 3. Attitude. When I asked another Honda dealer about a particular color of the Fit, they said "those are pretty rare". When RJ told me the list of colors available on the lot, he qualified it by saying "but If these aren't good enough I can trade with another dealer". RJ's attitude was that he was more than happy to go out of his way to get me the car I wanted. The other dealer's attitude was "This is what we've got. Take it or leave it." 4. Not guilting customers into good reviews. On the last car I bought (not Honda) the sales team practically said "you have to give me great reviews or else". Instead of begging for a good review, RJ earned it. I am really happy with my new Fit and hope RJ is congratulated for his effort on this sale. More
This was first time I have purchased a new car. I went in with a car in mind, RJ showed me the car, went for test drive and... sold! Service dept is great, Joe Budner was always ready to go extra mile for them so again, no brainer. There are always those who say, "oh dealerships are expensive", well I would not want to trust my new car to a non-experienced shop and the price was right on, financing was not problem and in a few days I had my new car, what's not to like. Well done DCH, one well run business...cheers! More
