We're expecting our third child and we were looking for a used minivan and there were lots of places we could have gone but DCH was nice and local. I expected with all of the locations DCH has that it was go used minivan and there were lots of places we could have gone but DCH was nice and local. I expected with all of the locations DCH has that it was going to be a reputable and at least LESS painful experience but quite honestly, I feel like I would have had better luck buying from some schlub in autotrader than I've had with DCH Motors. 1st experience - I stopped in to look at one of the vans listed on your website. The first salesman whose name I don't recall pulled the van up for me to look at. He was completely indifferent to me being there and honestly seemed like he couldn't care less to be there. I had my kids with me and my husband was still at work so I couldn't test drive or really do much more than a quick look. First thing I noticed off the bat was that the glove box was broken. And I mean, I opened it and it completely detached. This was my first indicator that probably no one at the dealership looked this van over as well as it should have been. They had it priced at over $8000 which was fair by kbb standards but the thing definitely had issues anyone trying to sell it should have put more of an effort into. Being unsure of my opinion, naturally, wanted my husband to be there with me to check it out but thought despite cosmetic things, it was probably just fine. Salesman was supposed to call me to confirm an appointment for the evening when I could come back with my husband, never called. I called the dealer, no one had any idea about anything and the salesman had gone home. They set me up to meet with Keith, who then became our salesman. 2nd experience - Went in, Keith seemed very nice. We did the test drive, checked the thing out (which in retrospect I will never do at night again because I couldn't see how truly disgusting and dirty this van is) My husband noticed that the motor bracket was replaced, indicating the thing was in a prior accident. There is body damage that would back up this fact, Keith agreed. Nothing on the carfax. Brought up the flappy noise in the dashboard (which having this happen in my old honda, I believe, is the rubbery venting disconnected in the dash because it happens when the heat is on and changing the mode the heat/ac is on doesn't affect which vents it actually comes out of) but no resolutions or offers were made to try and see what was going on. Did the paperwork, paid cash in full,... Keith couldn't explain to me why I was signing waivers that negated each other, only said that he was required to have everything filled out. I should have backed away at that very moment at the very least. But I trusted him. Big mistake. The carpets are disgusting, the knob for the ac/heat is broken, there's still a weird flappy noise and no ability to actually change the vent concentration,.. it's just disappointing. What looked good in the dark looks like a big hunk of junk at this point but I digress. I shouldn't have been so trusting and I know it. The real kicker came when a 6-month pregnant me was standing in a store parking lot in the snow with my daughter who had 104 degree fever, just wanting to get her home and my key fob wouldn't deactivate the alarm on the van. No matter how hard I was hitting the buttons, it just kept going off. She was crying, my son was upset, everyone was freezing and wanting to get in the damn car and we couldn't for a few minutes. Finally got the thing to shut off and went home. Called Keith about getting a new fob, no call back. Called again a few days later, spoke with a John, no call back. Called and left another message for Keith, no call back. Called and asked to leave a message for Keith's boss, no call back. FINALLY on my fifth attempt, after about two weeks of trying to pin him down, one of your receptionists passed me around and around until I finally landed on Jack in parts at the new car side and he is the ONLY person who took the time to help me. He took my name, took my number, listened to my whole frustrated obnoxious story about just wanting a damn key fob so I could disarm and unlock my car and he promised a call back to me. HE ACTUALLY CALLED ME BACK and I was shocked. Even he was having a hard time getting answers on how to get me a fob. I didn't care if it were a new one but I thought $8000 should warrant me not having to spend more money to get a fob that worked. I had already gone to Home Depot to have a spare key made since I didn't even get that when we bought the van. Someone should have had the decency to discuss it with me before it got to Jack but they only were interested in taking my money, flat out. I get that now. And yet who has to deal with the hassle and aggravation? The behind-the-scenes guy who has nothing to do with my problem. So Jack got a hold of some fobs, found one that worked for me and that's all I was looking for. I'm angry. It's frustrating to have to chase down people for something that would have been so easily solved if just ONE person along the line cared enough to do their job in the first place. At this point, though the van isn't the prettiest thing, it works. If I had gotten a better look at it, I never would have bought it. And had I known what I was in for as far as aggravation, I certainly never ever would have set foot in DCH Motors because all of the running around and inability to even get someone to talk to me about my problem has absolutely killed all of my confidence that this van isn't going to crap out on me any day now. And if it does, I don't expect any help will actually come from DCH. The maintenance light came on the other day so I called service, they set up an appointment and I told them I just wanted it checked. I told them repeatedly (administrator that put in the appointment, mechanic that got in my car, mechanic taking my info at the desk) that I just bought the thing and I wanted to make sure nothing was wrong and that I was NOT interested in having any work done at that moment. They get in the car, drive it off and slap down an invoice for $30 for an oil change without even looking at it. Again, didn't listen to a word I said from the get-go. Everything from start to finish has been about rushing my problems, unaddressed, right back out the door. I told him AGAIN that I was not getting any work done and that I wanted them to reset the light and I was leaving. All in all, I'm just disappointed. All of the problems I've had were minor but they brought with them such a huge wave of annoyance because of the lousy customer service. I expected better from day one and never got it. This is my third Honda. I love Honda, will always buy Honda but as it stands right now, I would never ever ever buy anything from a DCH dealer. I'll take my chances elsewhere. I would have happily purchased a new car but we didn't have the money for that and if buying used means we get treated like trash, forget it. It was a lot of money to me and I absolutely should have been treated with more courtesy. At the very least, acknowledged. Side note: I was contacted on facebook on February 10th by Randall Parker in an effort to get me to elaborate on my experience. Most of the above is the exact message sent to him and now it is February 24th and I have heard NOTHING in response, though he has been online since then as his non-private profile shows. Today, my power vent windows decided they are only going to work intermittently which naturally will become another expense down the line. This is a big mistake that I will continue to pay for. Kudos to everyone who has had a good experience. I absolutely have not. More

Two visits were made to test drive the model I was considering for leasing. Joe was ready each time, gave me enough time to put the car through its paces as I wished. He made pleasant and polite conve considering for leasing. Joe was ready each time, gave me enough time to put the car through its paces as I wished. He made pleasant and polite conversation and answered my questions while we drove. When the time came to close the deal, Joe was an effective go-between in the usual "dance" required to negotiate a final price. In the end, the cost to me to get into this car both in terms of money down and lease costs was excellent and I am quite satisfied. More
