I have bought all of my (5) Hondas because of him. I know that when I am told something needs to be replaced or it will be going soon I can rely on his word because of his honesty and integrity. Dom Garretson is the ONLY person I trust to service my cars. Since dealing with Dom I have never been worried that there might be problems down the road and my cars are safe for me and my family to drive. He knows that I have my standards and the safety councils requirements that are law. He is very professional, courteous and understanding of clients needs. When something is wrong with my car I can be assured that it will be fixed the FIRST time the RIGHT way and that I am kept informed on its progress and costs. No need for multiple visits. Dom Garretson represents the characteristics required of auto techs and is and should be an example for all. I can not express adequately all the great qualities this man( Dom Garretson) exemplifies. Best Service you can get I have been to Honda Service Depts from NJ all the way to Kingston and I have NEVER met anyone like Dominick Garretson at Nanuet Honda- there is not a I have been to Honda Service Depts from NJ all the way to Kingston and I have NEVER met anyone like Dominick Garretson at Nanuet Honda- there is not a question you can ask him that he wont take the time to answer fully - if he tells you something needs to be done on your car you know with 100% certainty that he is honest and knows what he is talking about- When you deal with him you will not be pushed into unnecessary work (like you get in other service departments) What he will do is tell you what you should do in the future on your vehicle - My husband has been very sick so he cant keep up with all the car issues anymore but Dominick has taken the burden off of us and I can just call and have him tell me what needs to be done- He is a true professional-But more than all the above he is a caring person who cares not just about your car but how you are doing- that is a trait rarely found in 2015- So needless to say we wont be bringing our car anywhere but to him- We are so thankful to him!! More

Service may be good. Price not at all happy. I went in for a oil change, I was told that i am due for a 90K service 87449 actual reading. I said OK. Then it came out for some more work brake pads I went in for a oil change, I was told that i am due for a 90K service 87449 actual reading. I said OK. Then it came out for some more work brake pads & timing belt. The total came out to 1999$. When i went in there the total with taxes came to 2100$ odd, When i presented the discount coupon of 15% off and the timing belt discount. The service rep said that he has taken out discounts off already and the 15% does not apply to the 90k mileage. The coupon doesn't mention that it does not apply to 90k service. The sales rep did help by reducing 60-70$ but i felt like being cheated because of their policy of not accepting coupons. Also the list and the net price showed same so i am not sure how much was taken off the top. This is the last time i am going to this Honda dealership for service or for buying cars. More
I rarely take the time to write a review like this; however, I received such stellar service from Dominick and the service staff at Honda of Nanuet that I had to share it with anyone who is listening ( however, I received such stellar service from Dominick and the service staff at Honda of Nanuet that I had to share it with anyone who is listening (reading). After hastily dropping my vehicle off (no appointment) on a Friday morning, I received a prompt shuttle to my rental car establishment. Additionally, I was promptly notified regarding the diagnosis on Saturday afternoon and when informed that the vehicle may not be ready until Monday, I expressed that I needed the vehicle urgently for business and had to pick it up on Sunday. With that, Dominick let me know that he would do the best he could to try to ensure that the vehicle would be ready on Sunday. True to his word, Dominick and the Honda service staff were able to repair my vehicle and have it ready for pick up on Sunday. I am sure that my last minute unexpected drop - off, coupled with my demanding request that the vehicle be repaired quickly, did not make things easy for Dominick and the service staff. Yet, I was treated with respect and courtesy and never so much as encountered a hint of "attitude" or negativity with regard to my requests. This level of compassion and professionalism is rare and for that I will be eternally grateful to Dominick and the service staff. Mecca More
I brought my 2010 pilot into Honda of Nanuet because I felt the front struts weren't working properly. It felt like the shocks/struts weren't absorbing bumps the way they should. I explained the situation to him and he informed me that the mechanics would look at the truck and they would call me when it was done. When I picked up the truck I was a little surprised that my bill was approximately $900 after taxes. They determined the front compliance bushings were leaking. Parts added up to $324 and $500 for labor. $500 for labor for bushings? This seems a little excessive to me. To top things off the car still wasn't driving properly and I was told I would also have to replace the front struts which would be another $1300 dollars. What annoys me the most is the truck only has 25000 miles on it but it is outside the 3 year warranty so none of the work is covered. Needless to say I will not be returning to Honda of Nanuet for any future work. It's a shame too because the employees were all very friendly but the prices are insanely to over priced. More

There was a problem with my seltbelt/airbag system and the seatbelt restraint kicked in while I was driving and my airbag light went on. We read the manual and it said the SLS system was a lifetime warre the seatbelt restraint kicked in while I was driving and my airbag light went on. We read the manual and it said the SLS system was a lifetime warrenty. I called D & C Honda in Tenafly NJ and spoke to a Service advisor,first I asked for an appt. He told me I would have to wait 4 days for an appt and said the system is no under warrenty and I probably went over a pothole in the city and I would have to pay for the fixture. It didnt sound right to me because I didnt even bring the car in yet for a diagnostic so how would he know the damage is not under warrenty. I remember several friends saying good things about Nanuet Honda. I called them they said to bring the car in for a diagnostic check and they would let me know what is the issue. They asked me to come in right away. Already I was impressed because they were very accomodating. I met with Dominick Garretson. He was honest and professional, hetold me they would do a diagnostic check and let me know what the issue was. He called me 2 hours later and told me that it was no outside source causing the problem with the SLS system. He said there was a problem with my seatbelt which affected my airbag light. He said that that system IS under warrenty since an outside source, eg...a pothole did not cause the problem and all I was responsible for was the Honda $100 deductable. My car was fixed in a reasonable amount of time, they were very nice. He told me my seatbelt had a lifetime warrently. D & C honda of Tenafly was nasty when I came in to buy a car and their "Service Advisors" are nasty, dishonest and ripoff artists. More

I would like to recommend Erica Goeller, she goes above and beyond to help, providing excellent customer service! When I walked into the service center, although she was busy, she took the time and care to and beyond to help, providing excellent customer service! When I walked into the service center, although she was busy, she took the time and care to ensure that my experience was great. I had an issue that was a quick fix, she was able to deal with me and my automotive ignorance, and resolved my problem within 15 minutes. More
