I came to DCH Toyota without an appointment, drove in, got out of my car and spoke to Mark Edman. An immediate smile greeted me...and I was put in the queue! I did not know if there was, indeed, something wrong with one of my tires or that the weather last night was cold...and neither did Mark. Yet he made room for me. As a former journalist, as well as a lengthy stint in public relations for a major corporation and a political party, I am quite aware of the importance of good customer relations. And Jerry Rechtman, whom I have dealt with for many years, typifies what I am talking about at this dealership. Here's the latest example: On March 14, 2013, after scraping our Toyota Camry's right front tire on a curb -- and we were scheduled to drive out on Long Island to spend the weekend with our daughter, as her husband was out-of-town and she needed some help at home -- my first thought and worry was a "blowout" on the lengthy round-trip. I phoned Jerry Rechtman and he had me immediately come in for service. A tire inspection showed that the tire was okay. But our car has a lot of mileage, close to 110,000. so he had our car fully inspected, and some bad things turned up, including leaks. Repairs would take quite a while, so Jerry arranged for a loaner car so I could drive home and come back the next day to pick up my car. The round-trip to Long Island turned out fine! More

My name is Brian Strauss, and I have had my Toyota Solara serviced at DCH Freehold Toyota Scion since the day I purchased it 8+ years (and 153,000!) ago. Even though I moved nearly 60 miles away to NYC 4 1/ serviced at DCH Freehold Toyota Scion since the day I purchased it 8+ years (and 153,000!) ago. Even though I moved nearly 60 miles away to NYC 4 1/2 years ago, I continue to bring my car to this dealership. The main reason? Jerry Rechtman. Jerry always greets me with a smile and asks me about my family. He is friendly and professional, and he makes sure that I understand what work needs to be performed and why, and what maintenance issues may need to be addressed in the future. Most importantly, Jerry is completely trustworthy. He is a man of integrity and principle, and I trust him. My college-age daughter knows to ask for Jerry when she brings her Camry in for service, as does my ex-wife when she brings in her RAV4. I have had a uniformly positive experience with the service department of DCH Freehold Toyota Scion in general, and with Jerry Rechtman and Beth in particular, and I am likely to buy a Toyota again whenever it comes time for me to purchase a new car so that I may continue to have my car serviced at this specific dealership. I recently had a lot of work done on my 2007 Toyota I recently had a lot of work done on my 2007 Toyota Camry. Because I had to go to the hospital to get my pacemaker fixed in the middle of this wo I recently had a lot of work done on my 2007 Toyota Camry. Because I had to go to the hospital to get my pacemaker fixed in the middle of this work both Beth and Mark were absolutely kind, accommodating and efficient in helping me out since I had your car on loan. They fit me in on a very, very busy holiday schedule around Thanksgiving and then this emergency happened. Mark gave me the most discounted price possible and even though I must have tried his patience, he never showed it. Beth was extremely accommodating with the car loan and getting me set up to take the car as I didn't have the latest car insurance with me. I think you have an excellent service department and I will go back even though I had to return the car after it was fixed due to a ball bearing problem. Again, Beth and Mark arranged for a car that I could drive while waiting. Because I like them and their efforts to do everything possible to make me a happy customer I will be back. I do have to say that I was shocked (not to make a pun) that I needed struts after only 45,000 miles and also a new water pump. Thankfully I had a $1600 service contract that I bought which provides me with complete service up to November of 2013 or 100K miles. My brother and nephew were absolutely amazed the struts were gone so early. I only drive on route 9 and to NYC once in a while. My cousin in Ireland told me they are recalling all water pumps on their Toyotas. So far, you have recalled my car on the break issue, the electric windows, the visor issue (which prior to this recent recall, I was wondering why my visor keeps drooping}. In addition, I have had to replace the rear brakes, the struts and the water pump. I have only about 45,000 miles!! I will not buy another Toyota until you make fold in side view mirrors for the Camry and have a much better safety rating than the one you were just given in 2012. Also, it is amazing that you have so many recalls so I will be in with my sun visor soon.
