Even though I had made a reservation, there was no one to guide me, so I had to wait. The sales manager who helped me couldn't focus on me and kept making me sit alone and wait. And he gave me the 36 month l guide me, so I had to wait. The sales manager who helped me couldn't focus on me and kept making me sit alone and wait. And he gave me the 36 month lease price of the xc40, which was crazy. The MSRP of the car is $43000, and even if I downpay $3000, I would have to pay $827 per month as a lease fee. It seemed like a joke to me. I've already been to BMW and Audi stores and looked at cars with similar specs, but their prices are over $300 less than Volvo's. I don't think Volvos are worth much more than them. I went to Volvo Fairfax for the first time and it was the worst. More

Worst car buying experience... bar none. We knew which car we wanted, 2020 V-60, and we didn't need financing, and we did not want to be there for a long time. We told them this when we arrived. We were t car we wanted, 2020 V-60, and we didn't need financing, and we did not want to be there for a long time. We told them this when we arrived. We were there for 5 hours. I had used their online service to get a ballpark on our trade, saying the car was in "fair" condition. (knowing full well they would undercut that number). They went WAY lowball on the trade-in offer saying the car has an oil leak (sorry but I park the car in a garage and there is no oil on the floor.) Then there were the usual dealer tricks like dropping a piece of paper in front of us with "sign this saying that you will buy the car if it is a good deal". There was only one finance person for both the Volvo and VW dealership so we ended up sitting and waiting for about 2 hours. Then the topper was coming out and seeing that whoever had "detailed" the car must have never used a buffing wheel before. There was compound everywhere. MASSIVE swirl marks and they hit the back tail light pretty hard with the wheel. It looked like they splashed tire black on the car from 5 feet away. There was still plastic sheeting under the mats and the interior had not been well cleaned (the inside was pretty clean when we test drove it) We were told "We will make this right" and by this time it was after 8 we just wanted to go home. Next day... NO call from Toni Jackson or Tim Wanamaker. One good thing was the salesman knew about the features of the car, hence the one star. More

If you do take it here for Service, expect for them to not be able to fix the problem quickly and, if you are really lucky, you may even get it back damaged. Shortly after purchasing my car, I had to take it in for service because I received a notice that the battery was low (apparently they didn't do a full charge before handing it over to me) and the Volvo On Call app wasn't working correctly and none of the remote features worked. It took them almost 30 days (and an email to Volvo Corporate) to get my car working correctly and returned to me. I should have taken this as a sign of what was to come when it comes to dealing with the Service Department. When I took it for the annual service in December 2019, there was a scratch stretching the entire length of the car. While they did repair the scratch, it involved multiple trips to the dealership because they claimed to have fixed it only to arrive and there still be damage. They ultimately had to take my vehicle to a body shop to repair it. Most recently, my vehicle began leaking water from between the Intellisafe box and the rearview mirror. We took it in and they repaired the moonroof seal. My husband specifically requested that they check the drainage tubes to ensure they are clear. Not even two weeks later, my vehicle began leaking in the same exact spot. We took it back to the dealership and it took them a week to repair. Low and behold, the drainage tubes (that my husband ask they check) were blocked and causing the water to leak into the car. When it was finally repaired and we were able to pick it up, we inspected the car with a fine tooth comb due to the previous body damage and noticed that they damaged the headliner while replacing the drainage tubes. We left the car there and a week later were told the car was ready for pick up. (They ordered the wrong headliner which delayed the repair process.) When we picked up the car and reviewed the service ticket, we were amazed to find that they lied on the service ticket. They indicated the headliner was water damaged as opposed to technician damaged. I can only assume they did this because otherwise there would be repercussions from the technician damage. All of the issues we have had with Fairfax Volvo are compounded by a lack of communication. The only way I would have any idea what they were doing is through the Volvo On Call App because I could see when it was moved. Most times, my husband would call the dealership to get an update. Very rarely were the updates initiated by Volvo. We debated going to a different Volvo dealership, but the reviews of those service departments are just as bad, plus we have pre-paid maintenance and didn't want to go to an import service shop. Ultimately, this most recent experience (the amount of time it took to repair, the damage once again done to the vehicle, the response from the Service Director and General Manager to the problem, the lying on the service ticket, and the lack of assistance from Volvo Corporate), led us to selling the Volvo and purchasing a different vehicle. While I loved my car and am sad to see it go, I'm glad that I will never again have to deal with that Service Department and any of their staff. More
I have been looking to purchase a new car for over 3 years. Toni Jackson's customer service and friendly personality was the only reason I walked away with a XC40 today. Toni knew everything about the car and was patient with my naivety. She is by far the BEST car sales person in Norther Virginia. THANK YOU TONI! More

We let our SUV sit too long and ended up with a dead battery that even AAA could not resolve. We called Clint Kliegel, General Manager and told him of our situation. With the Pandemic, I am high risk so we could not go into the dealership to remedy. Clint couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating. He immediately put us in touch with his service Manager, Julia Cepeda. Again, such an amazing level of knowledge, professionalism and Customer Service. He sent a driver to our home to put in a new battery, however, our back up battery was also dead. So the Service Advisor Daijza Meas, went back to the dealership to get a new back up battery. All in ONE day. We were astounded at what care and great service we received from this team. It didn't stop there though...our keys didn't work. Again we let the car sit too ling...well Julio had the valet service come get our car and keys, made it all work, we were due for a minor tune up (basically an oil change with such low mileage), and inspection for a new inspection sticker, gas and a mini car wash. I don't think we could have gotten any better treatment if it was a Rolls Royce! Also, in calling in to the dealership, Daisy was also very helpful and professional to get us to the right person, even though the dealership is under construction. It is crazy times right now, but I cannot remember when I have had better service or a better experience from start to finish. Looking for a new car...first of all, a police officer when my friend had a head on collision told her the only people they see WALK away from these kind of accidents are in a Volvo, or a Mercedes. We immediately went out and purchased our Volvo. I also have a friend that could not get 2 baby seats in her SUV...when she purchased the Volvo SUV (like ours she could) Not all dealerships are equal. I will not tell you the bad experience we had when trying to purchase this vehicle...they were doing quotes on 'ghost' vehicles. When we asked for the VIN #, there wasn't one. Fairfax Volvo dealt with honesty, professionalism and this has held true now in the service needs. Need I say more? Thank you team Clint, Julio, Daijza et al. Respectfully, DR Push. More

The Sales team from General Manager & associates were fantastic! I was there for hours, and Toni who exceptionally assisted and educated me on 2020 XC90 T6 Inscription. Toni is the BEST when you decide to purchase a Volvo. She is very, very knowledgeable about the functionalities of what she’s selling. Toni carefully listened to what I was looking for. She showed me the cool things of this car and even made me so excited and happy. She provided my daughter and me a drink while processing my documents. I keep in touch with her if I forget how to find a lot of cool things as I will not remember all. :) She is very responsive. I came there couple of times and gave her treats (chocolates are her favorite) just to sincerely say “thanks a bunch!”. I HIGHLY recommend Toni Jackson to your future Volvo purchase. More
