These guys are great... Great customer service on the sales side, Service area is amazing, there are TVs, Internet and a kids play area in the customer lounge. I was going to say they are a little slow, sales side, Service area is amazing, there are TVs, Internet and a kids play area in the customer lounge. I was going to say they are a little slow, but I must mention that I came at 7PM on a Thursday with no appointment, and I was out in 2 hours for a warranty repair, so maybe they are actually pretty fast... Overall Fairfax Volvo has really impressed me with the quality of work they provided. More
I went to Fairfax Volvo for the oil change service two weeks ago and was advised that the front brake pads and rotors need to be replaced. My service adviser quoted me a price of $645 for the brake servi weeks ago and was advised that the front brake pads and rotors need to be replaced. My service adviser quoted me a price of $645 for the brake service and typed it as a note into the computer. On 06/20/2009 I went to Fairfax Volvo for the brake service and brought with me a service coupon (199.95 for brake pads replace). When I checked in, the service adviser refused to offer me the quoted price $645 (but $695). He either denied that there is NOT a quoted $645 shown in the computer record or told me that the previous service adviser is a new guy and does not know the right price. After I told him that I wanted to cancel this service, he said that he can offer me the quoted price $645 and wrote "$645+Tax +10% off " on the service ticket. When the service was done at about 10AM, the service adviser Mr. Frank told me that I need to pay the total $630 for this service. I got really confused about this number. He explained that he cannot offer me $645 and there is some other fees. I got really angry at his going back and forth about this price and using all kinds of excuses to treat me like a xxxxxx. If you wrote that price down on the service ticket, you should keep your promise. Is it so hard to understand? More
HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! My wife and I visited Rosenthal HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! My wife and I visited Rosenthal Volvo on a weekend when there was only two other customers present between the Volvo and VW de HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! My wife and I visited Rosenthal Volvo on a weekend when there was only two other customers present between the Volvo and VW dealerships combined. When we walked into the showroom, we had to ask to be helped after wandering around for quite some time. When we finally spoke with the salesman (who primarily works with VWs), he admitted to knowing absolutely nothing about the Volvos. So, he passed us along to another guy with some Volvo "experience". The second was no better than the first: the only thing he could tell us is that the S80 is bigger than the S60. He didn't know anything about the other features separating the two models. From my research, I already knew the difference but wanted to hear what he could add for consideration. Occassionaly, he'd try to ask another associate questions, but they weren't helpful either. It became clear from the get-go that I knew more about these cars (from an hour on the internet) than he knew. His general lack of knowledge didn't give me any kind of confidence... especially when I was thinking about investing $30K or more into a vehicle. Although he had clearly never read a thing about the Volvos, he was a master in Salesmanship 101. He asked all of the typical questions that somebody trying to pull a fast one on you would ask: "How much are you looking to pay per month? How much do you want to put down? Are you trading in and what kind of car are you planning to trade? Would you be interested in a lease instead?" In general, he made us feel like he didn't think we could afford a Volvo (my wife and I are both attorneys and doing fairly well, thank you). And frankly, I thought he was asking a lot of questions for a guy who couldn't personally answer any of our questions. It was clear he just wanted to determine our price point before we had even decided if a Volvo was right for us. Every time he tried to answer a question or perform some "service" like getting the car pulled up for us to test drive, he inevitably disappeared for 20 minutes without a word. Ultimately, we test drove a car (which he knew little about) and decided to take off because of the overall bad experience. We thought we were done with Rosenthal Fairfax Volvo... but our experience got worse! More than a week later, the salesman leaves us two voice messages asking why he hasn't heard from us. As a courtesy, I call him back and say we're not in the market anymore. I tried to be polite and tell him it wasn't his fault, we just got an offer (below invoice) that we couldn't pass up from another dealer. When I eventually had to tell him that we're not in the market anymore because we bought a Volvo from Don Beyer of Alexandria, he gets very irritated/sarcastic and basically makes us feel like we wasted HIS time! I won't go into details, but it eventually turned into an unpleasant shouting match. I wanted to just let this go after the initial bad experience, but now I'm planning to speak with the sales manager tomorrow morning. Not sure if this makes a difference, but I've never filled out one of these online reviews before... nor have I ever called a manager to complain about the service that I've received from any business. I've had bad experiences with customer service but this (I believe) is the first to warrant any serious complaining. More
I dropped my car off for service. When I picked it up, it had a huge dent in the side. I brought it back the next day, and before I did I called and asked if I should have someone come with me to give me a r had a huge dent in the side. I brought it back the next day, and before I did I called and asked if I should have someone come with me to give me a ride. They said yes. They said they couldn't give me a loaner car because they didn't have any cars there. When I showed up, they told me I couldn't leave the car, so my dad had to drive to Fairfax from Ashburn for no reason. They said I had to call to set up an appointment with their body shop, which I did. I asked if I could leave it on a Snday, but there was no drop box. Now the car has to be repainted, my resale value has dropped, I've had to drive out to Fairfax from Leesburg 3 times, and no one has ever apologized. This dealer sucks. do not buy a car from them and do not trust this dealar More

I went to Fairfax Volvo to look at the XC90 with my family and the experience there was a pleasant one. Even though I did not end up buying a car from them, they surpassed my expectations on their cust family and the experience there was a pleasant one.
