They broke two fobs on two different occasions and cracked my battery case. Horrible, horrible service. When I confronted them, they put it on me. "We don't know if those fobs worked. They even ripped off the panic button on my fob this last time just several weeks ago. I went there for help and they did more damage than anyone should be exposed to. Customer service has to be a negative 10. Run the other way!! More
Bait and switch dealer that is full of lies. What is Bait and switch dealer that is full of lies. What is more irritating is that it is the Costco partner for VW!!! Costco would be appalled to know the Bait and switch dealer that is full of lies. What is more irritating is that it is the Costco partner for VW!!! Costco would be appalled to know the horrible costumer service people receive here. They won’t give you a price until you come in. Then when you do go they jack up the price and then try and tell you that is the “Costco discounted price”! What a load of lies when it is thousands more than the listed price online! Do not trust this dealer, they are not honest and a complete waste of time. More
Meagan Williams: Knowledgeable, Kind, and Easy to Work With Meagan is the best and you can feel really good buying a car from Fairfax VW! Here's the long version: We gave Meagan 15-minutes notice that we wanted to test drive both a new and used 2019 VW. When I arrived, both cars were out front and ready. She gave us a concise overview, set up a route in the navigation system, and gave us the keys. I didn’t have to explain that I’d done my research, etc. – she knew we wanted to get on the road and she didn’t slow us down with “sales talk”. When we picked the car we wanted to purchase, we worked with both Meagan and the dealership’s sales manager, Al Saleh; both were not only kind but very accommodating to get us all to a mutual point of acceptable purchase price. While we couldn’t stay any longer to “seal” the deal (because of a prior engagement), Meagan was more than willing to work with us via text and email (at my initiative). We are now proud parents of a new 2019 VW Golf Sportswagen. Prior to our experience with Fairfax, I had very frustrating … aggravating (bordering on insulting) exchanges with sales reps from other dealerships. It’s true, so many will outright lie; you’d think that they forgot there was something called the Internet. I was expecting more of the same, but got the complete opposite experience at Fairfax. Meagan loves her job. Al loves his job. Glester, in the finance department, loves his job. I can’t tell you how great that energy is when you’re spending a fair amount of money (but not more than what you’re willing to spend). Last shout-out to Simon who gave us the keys to the car the next day; he went over every bit of the car (it’s pretty tech-loaded) to make sure that we were comfortable driving off the lot. More
Every time I take my car to this dealership I regret my decision, almost immediately.... This is the most recent incident: They charged me diagnosis fee twice for the same issue. I'm not going to bo decision, almost immediately.... This is the most recent incident: They charged me diagnosis fee twice for the same issue. I'm not going to bore you with the details but they quoted me $4,200 to replace a turbocharger. I contacted several independent shops and the most expensive quote was $2,635 ($2,225- $2,635). I mean I understand that you have to make a profit but seriously???? I'm starting to think that these guys have no idea how to fix their own cars... They take your car to one of these independent repair shops and make a profit in between... PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE call around before committing to these people! More

With all of the options online I found myself communicating with Fairfax VW as they had a very nice model on their lot and it was within driving distance. Although I did not end up buying this particular car I wanted to say that dealing with Vinny Choi was a breathe of fresh air. He was extremely helpful and got me all the information I needed to make an informed decision immediately. That kind of service seems rare these days. Thanks to Vinny and Fairfax. If I am in the market for a VW again you may be hearing from me. More

First off, the pricing, Last Friday, I purchased a vehicle from this dealership and I should warn you NOT to step foot anywhere near this dealership. First off, the pricing, compared to the other VW Dealerships in the area (VW Alexandria, etc) are higher. The salesperson I dealt with, Vinny Choi, at first was very helpful and seems as if he wanted to get me the best car for the best price. I left the dealership feeling good about my new purchase. Two days later, I contacted Vinny and told him that I wasn't 100% happy with my vehicle and that I wanted to upgrade and asked if he could work with me, since it was literally 2 days prior to purchasing. Vinny would not work with me, he said that unfortunately, I would have to trade/buy the vehicle I just purchased and that there was nothing he could do. He even made a rude comment about this not being Carmax on the exchange policy, which I found unnecessary. I then contacted the Kyle, sales manager, and tried to reason with him in hopes that I could spend MORE money to get the car that I wanted. He also told me that there was nothing he could do, and to come back in 2 years and he would give me a VERY good price on the trade in. He insisted that this wasn't what I wanted to do and told me to just keep the car. If I were a male, Kyle would NEVER have spoken to me in that manner. I find it disappointing that I was dismissed for wanting to purchase a more expensive vehicle. I have never been treated this way at any car dealership, and find the dealership's behavior insulting and demeaning. Avoid at all costs, and look elsewhere before coming here. I gave the dealership a two-star because the finance department treated me well and were very courteous. More

The dealership itself and service center as a whole is *maybe* 3 stars (a solid 2 for their sales department). From a sales perspective, Sheehy in particular is far better and Alexandria at least has much better pricing. However, despite the moderate dumpster-fire Fairfax VW tends to be, I still take my car there for service. Why? Leon is why...he’s by far the best VW service manager in the DC metro area I’ve met. He’s very knowledgeable, always good natured, a great communicator, and a joy to work with. Absent Leon, I wouldn’t set foot in Fairfax VW...so I guess you could say I endure that dealership to deal with Leon. More
