John Hulme is by far the most professional and knowledgeable sales representative that I have dealt with. I have purchased 5 cars over the span of the last 15 years and I have used John for all o knowledgeable sales representative that I have dealt with. I have purchased 5 cars over the span of the last 15 years and I have used John for all of them. I purchased my first car from John when he was at Fairfax Honda and was so impressed that when it came time for a new car I followed him to VW. I must say that he is always fair in pricing and very helpful when it comes to finding the right vehicle to fit both lifestyle and budget. I have recommended John to my clients, my friends and my family, and will continue to do so in the future. All I can say is that I wish there were more people as honest as John. More

"GIMMICK" is their middle name. Stay far from here (try Lindsay, Alexandria, or Karen Radley). I should have known better after my first bad experience here where by phone they claimed to have 6 here (try Lindsay, Alexandria, or Karen Radley). I should have known better after my first bad experience here where by phone they claimed to have 6 Tiguan S models on the lot, but when I arrive in an hour only 2 were there. Other dealerships warned me about the dishonesty and foolery taking place at Rosenthal VW. I only came back because I received an e-mail coupon from JOHN HULME (signed MURAD ALFAQIH) on 9/27/11 that clearly said "...an additional $500.00 off any written verifiable price quote...No gimmicks or games!" I had a guaranteed price quote from American Express for the dealership that included the delivery fee and was to be honored in addition to the coupon. I called first to verify the vehicle I wanted was in stock, and available for the discounted price. When I saw the paperwork included the delivery fee AND did not include the $500 discount, so I asked to speak with the manager. As I walked to the front desk to show him the email on my blackberry, he started yelling and waving his hands in the air saying that he did not care what the coupon said because I am getting a good deal. Maybe they were trying to double charge me for the destination fee? Hands down this was the worst sales experience of my life. Some professionalism and courtesy may have convinced me to buy the car instead of his rants. Customer service must have a different meaning where he comes from. He embarrassed me so badly in front of the other customers, but I guess he didn't care at this point since it was after 9pm and those sales were nearly finalized. What a waste of my time AGAIN thanks to Emmanuel and the 3 stooges behind the desk! Plus I got an "I told you so!" from my husband for returning here. SMH More
Tim Willis is an excellent sales person. He was very warm, friendly and knowledgeable. We had some minor issues with the financing and Tim was able to work everything out. During the pre-sale he offered warm, friendly and knowledgeable. We had some minor issues with the financing and Tim was able to work everything out. During the pre-sale he offered my husband and I somethinb to drink and we said no thank you; but then I jokingly said yes- cranberry juice (knowing that there were no cranberry juice in the vending machine).. Once we sealed the deal; Tim went to the store and came back with my cranberry juice. Talk about a man of his words.... More

Then, they call and leave a voice mail that they would give me $4,000 if I made the deal that day. I call back to confirm and fill out a finance application on their web site, but then the Used Car Manager refuses to take the trade in. Big waste of time. Stay far away! More
I had some difficulty location the Tiguan that I wanted after checking with several dealerships..I went to visit and first met with Thomas who was very knowledthageable about the vehicle. He did want me to after checking with several dealerships..I went to visit and first met with Thomas who was very knowledthageable about the vehicle. He did want me to get into the Silver one but after some thought about that and extended warranty i decided to skip it..John called me promtly to see about getting a blue one and we worked out a satisfactory price. Both of them were easy to work with and very professional..I told him what i was willing to pay and he was accomodating. The experience was great and the car is awesome.I have never owned a VW but always wanted to..The only drawback to the process was that it took long..About 3 .5 hours. and this was AFTER the price was negotiated over the phone. To their credit they did have to get car from another dealer and had to prep it last minute. I also had a trade in wh ich slowed it down some. More

My wife and I were looking to buy a new car and went to Fairfax VW to do some comparison shopping. We are not the type of people that will rush into decisions and want to take our time to make ourselves i Fairfax VW to do some comparison shopping. We are not the type of people that will rush into decisions and want to take our time to make ourselves informed buyers. When we walked into Fairfax VW, we were very up front with the salesman, David, that we knew the car we wanted and had a pretty good idea of the price we would pay for it. To his credit, he did almost everything he could to sell the car. He worked the price down to what we felt was a good one. The reason we did not end up doing business here was the pressure and attitude we received, first from David and then from someone that introduced himself as the Assistant Manager. On several occasions during our visit, we expressed to them that we would not be buying the car that evening, but if they gave us a fair price, we could come back the next morning, after sleeping on it, and buy the car. They continued to push us to buy right then. Their favorite line, that was repeated several times by both, was "we are giving you the best price, what is there to think about?" This being said as a response to us saying we wanted to make sure we were comfortable with the price and payments. We asked them for their best price, but when asked, they said the price was only good for that evening. It might not be the same in the morning (12 hours later). We were very close to buying from them, but when the assistant manager came out and started his act about "it's the best price, what's there to think about?" and telling us the price would only be good for that evening because the car could be sold over night or the salesman might meet his quota and not be as motivated to give us that price in the morning, we decided this was not going to happen. If this is any indication of their customer service, we are glad we did not go with them. This was very disappointing. We took our business to Lindsay VW were they did not try to play the pressure games and acted in a professional manner. They also gave us a better price then you were offering. You might want to realize that some people can't be pushed into a sale and that the power in the negotiation lies with the person holding the check book, not with the dealership. Especially when there are so many around you that sell the same cars, but give much better customer service. More
