I made an appointment to come buy the car and the nonsense started soon after I arrived. Took a nice drive with a knowledgeable younger guy, but everyone up the chain was playing games. I waited 30 min for the sales manager to arrive. I showed him the numbers that Van xxxx had seen and then the repeated huddles and stalling began. The guy started by falsely telling me this was his last plug in hybrid, when the website clearly showed they had nine on site. Then after a lot more stalling, wasting a lot of my time, they tried to talk me into other prices until I finally walked out. I was honestly surprised they let me get away over about $800, but I don't think they thought I'd actually do it. Called myself an Uber and got the price that DARCARS said was impossible at a more honest dealership. More
On July 22, 2024, we went to DARCARS Temple Hills to look at a 2023 Kia Carnival LX VIN: KNDNB4H36P6280682. I again called the dealership to make sure the car was still there right before driving over there, to which they said that it was and it was in the shop. The dealership was an hour away so we did not want to make that trip if the car had been sold. Once we arrived at the dealership we were told that the car we were originally interested in actually had "body damage" to it and it was not available and that’s why it was in the shop. While we were waiting for the new van to test drive, all of a sudden the "body damage van" miraculously became available to also test drive. So we ended up test-driving both vans. The original Carnival we were interested in rode great but we had some concerns. It was listed under 13,000 miles but the tires on the van were bald, which makes no sense. The van was also a rental from Florida and per the CarFax did not have any maintenance updates. So before my husband and I made any final decisions we wanted an independent mechanic to take a look at the van, we also wanted the car inspection and service maintenance paperwork. That's when we spoke to General Manager Ed Hampton. We told him about our concerns with the van and why we did not want to purchase the car until we had all of our questions/concerns answered. Ed Hampton told us that the dealership would hold the car for us for the next couple of days if we put a deposit down for the amount that we would have purchased the car for. We wrote a check to the dealership under the condition that they would also give us the car inspection and service maintenance paperwork. The next couple of days passed and we had yet to receive any of the requested paperwork. Almost 1 week after we checked our bank statement DARCARS Temple Hills deposited our postdated check THE NEXT DAY, July 23, 2024! This was an utter shock for us because this check was only meant to hold the car. After we realized our check was cashed, I called Ed Hampton who told me that I gave him a verbal permission to cash our check because we wanted the car and told me that there would be a $1,500.00 fee to get a refund of all of our money back. We never signed any purchase order agreement, or any paperwork at all in regards to purchasing the vehicle. Also, there is no such thing as a "verbal agreement" when it comes to any sort of contract. We told Ed Hampton that our check was cashed illegally without our permission and we were going to proceed with legal action against the dealership. We did not have possession of the car, we had not signed any paperwork stating that we wanted this car, and WE SIGNED NOTHING permitting them to cash a check that was only supposed to be made to hold the vehicle. After we told the dealership we will proceed the legal rout we were then told that we would get a full refund in 21 days, which is absolutely absurd and puts a financial strain on our family. To get DARCARS to reimburse us the fastest was to get a letterhead statement from our bank stating that the money had been taken out of our account. My husband went to our bank and got a formal transaction check to show the money coming out of our account and going into their account. The branch said that was the most formal way to "prove" the check was deposited with DARCARS. DARCARS corporate still didn't accept it and wanted that letterhead. It took 3 days but we were finally able to get a letter from our bank. So we were told that the check would be mailed to us overnight on Monday. We agreed to that. It was a good thing we ended up not going to the dealership that Friday because when I called the dealership on Monday to make sure they were going to send out the check, THEY DIDN'T EVEN HAVE IT. We eventually got the check and it was fully reimbursed into our bank account. This whole situation was a very big lesson learned but this should have never happened. We also learned that DARCARS lists the same c More
Based on my experience today, DarCars Kia of Temple Hills deserves negative stars. I went to the dealership after seeing a car I was interested in on their website (that car was no longer available, it was sold). I spoke with a salesman, Donovan, who was pleasant, and then I met with Sayed, the GM, who also seemed pleasant. I was shown a vehicle that was comparable to the vehicle that was sold. I asked about dealer financing incentives and discussed my trade-in with him. Sayed told me I could complete a credit app, and I told him I did not want my credit run by multiple banks, just by their main bank, as I already have approval from my credit union. I wanted to compare interest rates and decide whether to use their bank or my credit union. He told me they do not run credit like that and that I would have 1 soft pull of my credit. I completed the app before I left the dealership. When I got home, I received notifications of 5 hard credit inquiries (exactly what I was attempting to avoid) from my credit monitoring service. I reached out to Sayed, who blamed the finance guy for this, and then he told me that these were soft pulls and would fall off after I purchased a vehicle. That is a complete lie. They are hard inquiries and will affect my credit score, and I informed him of this. This dealership lacks integrity, honesty, and trust, which are principles I stand on. I will not make a trade-in or purchase from this dealership now or ever. I will contact the credit bureaus and Mr. Savish, the CEO of Darcars Kia. BEWARE. More

Very dishonest. I confirmed with them that a vehicle I was interested in is still available. When I got there I was asked if I saw a later message they sent me, and I confirmed with them that a vehicle I was interested in is still available. When I got there I was asked if I saw a later message they sent me, and that the car was sold yesterday. I left, and when I got home, I saw their message. So I asked them if they acted in good faith, they should remove the car from their website, and stop misleading and bating customers. They would not remove it, and 2 hours later it is still on their website, using to bait customers. Truly dishonest, have no respect for people's time. VIN: KNDPMCAC8L7837698 Stock #: P1V0312 More
Worst experience of my life. Most disrespectful people I have EVER dealt with. From the sales manager, George, to the sleazy sales manager, Syeed. Who by the way told me that th Most disrespectful people I have EVER dealt with. From the sales manager, George, to the sleazy sales manager, Syeed. Who by the way told me that the clientele he has to deal with is less than fun to deal with. My sister came 2 hours away to get a telluride that was 1 year old. They cracked the windshield when they were prepping it and we had to fight to get it replaced. I could go on for pages but it’s not even worth my time. TRUST ME, THIS IS NOT A REPUTABLE LOCATION TO DEAL WITH. I did buy my nephews both a Nissan from daycare and they were wonderful. But management needs to fire just about everyone there. Sales need to be replaced with someone focused on customer service, not the bottom line. Starting with the slicked back slimey sales manager Sy, who couldn’t have cared less about the windshield issue until I got the state police inspections unit involved. THANK YOU ALL FOR RUINING WHAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN A GREAT DAY FOR MY SISTER. Instead we played who is the bigger ignorant jerk. NEVER AGAIN Ps George our salesman couldn’t even bothered today hionce even though we spent the entire day there and walked pass each other several times. Also we were offered our money back because they said we could sell it 100 times over but since we paid cash it would take 2 weeks to get it back. Hahaha. Very sad More
