2010 Impala was brought in for service due to a few different issues. Christine was extremely helpful and explained everything to me in detail. I was so satisfied with the warranty covered work, I went different issues. Christine was extremely helpful and explained everything to me in detail. I have given this service department numerous opportunities to meet my expectations but this final experience seals the deal. The service department is very unresponsive, overpriced and I honest opportunities to meet my expectations but this final experience seals the deal. The service department is very unresponsive, overpriced and I honestly feel that they are trying to cheat people with inflated prices, unnecessary work and surprise charges. I have requested a part be ordered for me numerous times and they have never completed the transaction. I had to leave messages to with questions about a detailing/interiro/exterior protection package that i purchased with my vehicle (approx $650). No one ever returned my calls or answered my questions. No one had explained that there was a time limit to get the work done so by the time I was able to reach a human, this window had passed. Immediately after we had routine maintenance work done on my car, a warning light came on. We were told not to worry about it that it would either go off on its own or we could bring it in at a later date to have it addressed. I brought the car in to day to deal with this light issue only to find out that it will cost me over $1100 to rectify the issue. I had several other items to look into on this same visit. I wanted to know what was causing them and how mcuh each item would be to fix. The result was an estimate in excess of $2700 (including the $1100 noted above). We opted to get a second opinion before proceeding. When i picked up the car, they tried to charge me $120. The cashier could not explain the issue so we had to wait a long time for service to come out and explain. We were asking politely for an explanation of what the charge was since no service was performed and no chrages were approved. The Service person said they were "diagnostic" charges. I indicated that we had not been advised of these potential charges when we dropped off the car and had signed nothing to approve these. The woman snapped at us and immeidately removed the charges. I really feel that they imposed these charges only because we declined to proceed and hoped we would not protest. The defensive reaction and speed at which they caved in, implies to me that they know this is a shady practice and that they had no right to impose this "surprise" charge. I really liked and trusted the salesman but my experience beyond him has been horrible. I will be looking for a different dealership to do business with. More
