Curtiss Ryan – Body Shop Michael Caterson It is very rare for me to review a business regardless of the type of business, but I must say Curtiss Ryan Body Shop and Michael Caterson, Body Shop Manager ar rare for me to review a business regardless of the type of business, but I must say Curtiss Ryan Body Shop and Michael Caterson, Body Shop Manager are customer driven, I can’t say enough about how they treat and help customers. They go over and beyond and do everything to help! I was involved in an accident when I took my deceased wife’s car for its weekend drive. I Explained to Michael that my wife passed in January, the car signifies and symbolizes 12 years of happy memories. I do not want to lose the car. Michael stated, “I will do whatever I can, it depends on the estimate that is agreed by me and the insurance company adjustor”. The following day Michael met with the insurance company adjustor. The next day Michael informed me that the repair estimate appears to exceed the car value and his concern that insurance company may total the car. As we talked, I got very upset and depressed, thinking it looked grave that I may lose my deceased wife’s car along with memories. Michael mentioned, he would explain to the insurance company adjustor the situation, in attempt for me to keep the car. I felt Michael would do his best, but friends and family I talked to had issues in their past with insurance companies that concluded not well. Later that day, Michael contacted to let me know the insurance company adjustor agreed not to total car. I was surprised, thrilled, and happy! It is with great pleasure to do business with Curtiss Ryan and especially Michael. I have told family and friends about the outcome and recommended Curtiss Ryan if you need car repair, they have integrity, honesty, sincerity and most importantly empathy for their customers. Jeff H. I went in with the intentions of getting my 2018 Honda accord serviced when I was told that the repairs were going to cost me more than it was worth. I met with Rory and he was great from beginning to end accord serviced when I was told that the repairs were going to cost me more than it was worth. I met with Rory and he was great from beginning to end. My husband and I were there literally from open til close. He worked really hard to make sure we left there with a car. I will never have my car serviced at Curtiss Ryan Honda in Shelton, CT ever again. I dropped off my 2018 Honda CR-V on the morning of Tuesday, January 14, 2025 to have the fuel injectors serviced and Paul in Shelton, CT ever again. I dropped off my 2018 Honda CR-V on the morning of Tuesday, January 14, 2025 to have the fuel injectors serviced and Paul Harris said they would perform the fuel pump recall as well. Believe it or not, I had to wait until Tuesday, January 21, 2025 to pick up my car. First, Harris told me that the $169 diagnostic fee would be waived if I had my car serviced at Curtiss Ryan Honda. When I disputed the estimate, Harris lied and said that "waiving the diagnostic fee never crossed his lips." Second, they did not even diagnose my car until late morning on Wednesday, January 15, 2025. Third, Harris lied to me and said that he had to express order parts and that my CR-V would be done on Thursday, January 16, 2025. Harris had Thursday off and he was the only one who could itemize our bill (according to Paul Viveros). At this point, I requested a loaner and I was told that they didn't have one for me. As it turned out, my CR-V was not serviced until Friday. Then we played the waiting game of getting payment from the warranty company. Harris should've done everything possible to get the payment on Friday, January 17, 2025 because he knew that the warranty co. couldn't pay out on Saturday (and Monday was a holiday). What was supposed to take 1 day turned into an 8 day ordeal filled with lies and empty promises. Furthermore, they replaced & charged me for 4 brand new spark plugs that my mechanic had just replaced on Thursday, January 9, 2025. From start to finish, it was an awful experience. I cannot, in good faith, recommend having anyone's car serviced here. More
