I went into the dealership the second week in January, 2012. The salesman was very pleasant, but we couldn't come to terms on the payment numbers, which was ok with me. Then the salesman brought over the 2012. The salesman was very pleasant, but we couldn't come to terms on the payment numbers, which was ok with me. Then the salesman brought over the (finance or dealership?) manager. The manager told me in a rude tone of voice that the "numbers don't lie." I pleasantly replied that if we couldn't make a deal, I understood. I was prepared to leave at that point, but before I left, just in case this dumb customer did not get the point that the "numbers don't lie," the manager repeated it two or three more times, even though I was not attempting to negotiate at that point and was not arguing with him. I have negotiated terms and bought cars several times before, but have never been treated so rudely. By the way, I am female. I do not know if being female has anything to do with how I was treated, but a friend's husband was told in all seriousness about a year ago by a salesman at this location that he should not tell his wife what the payments on his vehicle were. Many hours were spent on the internet searching dealer inventories within a four state area. I worked with three other dealers trying to get one of my choice dealer traded closer to my area. At first I did not contact Currie because they were an hour and a half away, but knew they had one of the trucks in stock that suited my needs. After two weeks of working with a dealer closer to home unsuccessfully I drove to Currie Motors on a Saturday morning. I drove home in the truck I wanted later that afternoon. Prior to our purchase of the Expedition, I owned a 2003 Ford Windstar with 92,000 miles. I started noticing some problems with it and decided to bring it to the service department at Currie Motors. For a fee of $99, they will examine the car thoroughly to find out if there are any problems or concerns. If problems are found and I choose to have them fixed, the money goes towards the bill. The mechanic we had, Marc Opyt, was very helpful, honest, and straight-forward about the problems with my minivan. He explained it very preciously and down-to-earth so that I could clearly understand what was wrong with my car. We then weighed the options of whether to invest money into fixing the minivan or using the money as a down payment towards a new vehicle. We, obviously, chose the down payment!!! We had originally purchased a Ford Escape and realized we were not happy with it. So we returned it a few days later and no one questioned us, they just wanted to make sure we were happy with our purchase. E were not happy with it. Everyone mentioned above worked endlessly with us to get us the vehicle we love! It took about 4 days but they really worked hard to get us in a vehicle we would love. We were not the easiest customers but they never tired of us and assured us they would get us into a vehicle we would love. We were there for 8 hours one day test driving and going over finance options. They bought us lunch and tried to make us as comfortable as possible. We ended up with the Ford Explorer and couldn't be happier! I took the car in to get the remote starter installed and Peter gave me his personal car so I could go shopping and get lunch while I waited for them to finish our car. I have never dealt with such courteous and dedicated people in my life. This was our 4th car bought at this dealership and we will never go elsewhere. Would recommend this dealership everytime! My experience with this dealer was great. Pete and Mark very easy to work with. I own a construction company and the amount of trucks this dealership has, is more than efficient.
